3. Which two atoms could potentially form alloys?
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

Tin and Copper

Explanation:

The two atoms that could potentially form alloys are the tin and copper atoms.

Alloys are mixtures formed between two or more metals.

The goal of forming alloys is to take properties of one metal and add to that of another metal so as to enhance both materials.

Alloys are only formed between metals.

The only metal pair given from the choices is that of tin and copper.

Therefore, the two atoms that could potentially form alloys is tin and copper.

If the total population of Asian women was 5000in the 2008 how many females suffered a stroke?
Finger [1]

Answer:

Hi there!

I believe you are missing an attachment to this question however

I strongly believe that the answer you are looking for is 85.

Explanation:

If you provide the graph, the rate of strokes in Asian women will be 17 per 1,000 women so all you have to do is multiply 17 by 5 and you get 85

Write a chemical equation depicting what happens to the sugar in water.
zysi [14]
Assuming that you mean table sugar (sucrose), then at room temperature and without any catalyst, there is no reaction.

However if you elevate and hold the temperature of the aqueous solution at 50 to 60 °C (especially in the presence of a suitable catalyst, like mineral acid) the sucrose dimer will split into glucose and fructose. This is called hydrolysis and the resulting solution is called an invert sugar solution.

The reaction could be written as:

C12H22O11 (sucrose) + H2O (water) → C6H12O6 (glucose) + C6H12O6 (fructose)

or

C12H22O11 (aq) + H2O (l) → C6H12O6 (aq) + C6H12O6 (aq)

Notice that both of the produced sugars have the same empirical formula. Check with your instructor or in your textbook to see if more exact formulas are needed.
