A charge of +3.00 μC is located at the origin, and a second charge of -2.00 μC is located on the x-y plane at the point (50.0 cm
romanna [79]

Answer:

0.0567 N

Explanation:

q1 = 3 micro coulomb

q2 = - 2 micro coulomb

OB = 50 cm

AB = 60 cm

By using Pythagoras theorem in triangle OAB

OA^{2}=OB^{2}+AB^{2}

OA^{2}=50^{2}+60^{2}=6100

OA = 78.1 cm

By using the Coulomb's law, the force on 3 micro coulomb due to -2 micro coulomb is

F=\frac {Kq_{1}q_{2}}{OA^{2}}= \frac{9 \times 10^{9}}\times 3\times 10^{-6} \times 2 \times 10^{-6}{0.781^{2}}

F = 0.0885 N

The horizontal component of force is

= F CosФ = F\times \frac{OB}{OA}

= 0.0885 x 50 / 78.1 = 0.0567 N

What effect does the removal of vegetation have on soil ?
Strike441 [17]
Hello!

The removal of vegetation causes the desertification and erosion of soil. The roots of the plants that are inside the soil create a sort of net that prevents the material to be dragged by the water from the rain. They also absorb any excess water that can weaken the soil structure. If vegetation is removed from the soil, the nutrients can be dragged by water currents and slowly the desertification will occur.

A 6 N and a 10 N force act on an object. The moment arm of the 6 N force is 0.2 m. If the 10 N force produces five times the tor
Levart [38]

Answer:

The moment arm is 0.6 m

Explanation:

Given that,

First force F_{1}=6\ N

Second force F_{2}=10\ N

Distance r = 0.2 m

We need to calculate the moment arm

Using formula of torque

\tau=Force\times lever\ arm

So, Here,

\tau_{2}=5 \tau_{1}

We know that,

The torque is the product of the force and distance.

Put the value of torque in the equation

F_{2}\times d_{2}=5\times F_{1}\times r_{1}

r_{2}=\dfrac{5\times F_{1}\times r_{1}}{F_{2}}

Where, F_{1}=First force

F_{1}=First force

F_{2}=Second force

r_{1}= distance

Put the value into the formula

r_{2}=\dfrac{5\times6\times0.2}{10}

r_{2}=0.6\ m

Hence, The moment arm is 0.6 m
