These angles are vertical

To find the value of x

4x-25= 75 ( because vertical angles are equal in measurements)

so 4x = 75 + 25

4x = 100

x = 100/4

x = 25

Answer:

x=25 degrees and the angles are vertical (opposite each other)

Step-by-step explanation:

(4x-25)=75

4x=100

x=25

PLEASE HELP!!!! show your workkkkkkkk
bezimeni [28]

Step-by-step explanation:

1.

(y -y1) = m(x -x1)

(6 -8) = m(1 -(-2))

-2 = 3m

m = -2/3

2.

slope = ∆y/∆x

slope = (8 -6)/(-2 -1)

slope = 2/-3

Now to find the full expression let's substitute the values of x and y using the slope:

6 = 1×2/-3 + b

6 = 2/-3 +b

b = 6 - 2/-3

b = 16/3

So the expression is:

y = 2x/-3 + 16/3

New York City's lowest temperature is -15°F and Philadelphia's lowest temperature is -11°F. Write the temperatures as a comparis
Sauron [17]

ANSWER

-11ºF > -15ºF

EXPLANATION

You can think of the inequality sign > as an equal sign with one end shrinked. On the shrinked end we have to write the lowest number.

-11ºF is greater than -15ºF, so the expression is

-11ºF>-15ºF

Refrigerators in a random sample of 60 refrigerators, the mean repair cost was $150.00 and the standard deviation was $15.50. Co
worty [1.4K]

Answer:

The 99% confidence interval is given by ($144.677;$155.323)

We are confidenct at 99% that the true mean for the reapir cost of refrigerators is between 144.677 and 155.323.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Notation and definitions

n=60 represent the sample size

\bar X= 150 represent the sample mean

s=15.5 represent the sample standard deviation

m represent the margin of error

Confidence =99% or 0.99

A confidence interval is "a range of values that’s likely to include a population value with a certain degree of confidence. It is often expressed a % whereby a population means lies between an upper and lower interval".

The margin of error is the range of values below and above the sample statistic in a confidence interval.

Normal distribution, is a "probability distribution that is symmetric about the mean, showing that data near the mean are more frequent in occurrence than data far from the mean".

2) Calculate the critical value tc

In order to find the critical value is important to mention that we don't know about the population standard deviation, so on this case we need to use the t distribution. Since our interval is at 99% of confidence, our significance level would be given by \alpha=1-0.99=0.01 and \alpha/2 =0.005. The degrees of freedom are given by:

df=n-1=60-1=59

We can find the critical values in excel using the following formulas:

"=T.INV(0.005,59)" for t_{\alpha/2}=-2.66

"=T.INV(1-0.005,59)" for t_{1-\alpha/2}=2.66

The critical value tc=\pm 2.66

3) Calculate the margin of error (m)

The margin of error for the sample mean is given by this formula:

m=t_c \frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

m=2.66 \frac{15.5}{\sqrt{60}}=5.323

4) Calculate the confidence interval

The interval for the mean is given by this formula:

\bar X \pm t_{c} \frac{s}{\sqrt{n}}

And calculating the limits we got:

150 - 2.66 \frac{15.5}{\sqrt{60}}=144.677

150 + 2.66 \frac{15.5}{\sqrt{60}}=155.323

The 99% confidence interval is given by ($144.677;$155.323)

We are confidenct at 99% that the true mean for the reapir cost of refrigerators is between 144.677 and 155.323.

Mary manages the front office at a local doctor’s office and needs to figure out payroll for the front office clerk that is paid
lara31 [8.8K]

22. The information provided is the number of minutes worked for each weekday for two weeks.

23. Up to this point, no problem is stated. If we read ahead to question 24, the problem is to determine if the number of hours worked in a week exceeds 40. The steps to solve the problem are ...

... a) convert the times to compatible units (minutes to hours or hours to minutes)

... b) compare the total time worked in a week to 40 hours (or the equivalent), or compare the time worked each day to 8 hours.

... c) on the basis of the comparison(s) in (b), decide if overtime was worked.

24. 8 hours is (60 min/h)×(8 h) = 480 min.

Only 5 days were worked each week, and no day exceeded 8 hours (480 min), so the total time is less than 40 hours. Mary does NOT need to pay overtime.
