The metal could make an excellent material for cookware because it has a low specific heat. Specific heat is defined as the amount of energy required to raise the temperature of a body per unit mass. A low specific heat means less energy is required to get the cookware hot. In cookware the actual cooking part is designed to have low specific heat and the handles made to have high specific heat. The high specific heat at the handles ensures safety since it would take more time for the handles to get hot.
