Create an outline to organize your presentation. Write the outline for your presentation in the space provided. You can organize

your presentation any way you think is best. Following these guidelines for writing a five-paragraph essay is a good idea. Be sure to include an introduction and a works cited page at the end.
in this activity, you’ll prepare a 10- to 15-slide presentation using presentation software. You’ll examine the chemical reaction that takes place when burning fossil fuels and how this process affects the environment. You’ll also evaluate and compare fossil fuels with biomass and other renewable energy sources. Then you’ll make a recommendation about which energy sources to develop in your local area. Be sure to support your recommendation with information provided by credible sources.

Follow the links provided throughout the activity. They will help you plan and research your presentation. This guide about the research process provides a helpful overview of the steps you should take.

Use sources that end in .gov (government sites), such as CDC.gov.

If 0.200 moles of AgNO₃ react with 0.155 moles of H₂SO₄ according to this UNBALANCED equation below, what is the mass in grams o
morpeh [17]

Answer:

31.2 g of Ag₂SO₄

Explanation:

We'll begin by writing the balanced equation for the reaction. This is given below:

2AgNO₃(aq) + H₂SO₄ (aq) → Ag₂SO₄ (s) + 2HNO₃ (aq)

From the balanced equation above,

2 moles of AgNO₃ reacted with 1 mole of H₂SO₄ to produce 1 mole of Ag₂SO₄ and 2 moles of HNO₃.

Next, we shall determine the limiting reactant.

This can obtained as follow:

From the balanced equation above,

2 moles of AgNO₃ reacted with 1 mole of H₂SO₄.

Therefore, 0.2 moles of AgNO₃ will react with = (0.2 x 1)/2 = 0.1 mole of H₂SO₄.

From the calculations made above, only 0.1 mole out of 0.155 mole of H₂SO₄ given is needed to react completely with 0.2 mole of AgNO₃. Therefore, AgNO₃ is the limiting reactant.

Next,, we shall determine the number of mole of Ag₂SO₄ produced from the reaction.

In this case we shall use the limiting reactant because it will give the maximum yield of Ag₂SO₄ as all of it is consumed in the reaction.

The limiting reactant is AgNO₃ and the number of mole of Ag₂SO₄ produced can be obtained as follow:

From the balanced equation above,

2 moles of AgNO₃ reacted to produce 1 mole of Ag₂SO₄.

Therefore, 0.2 moles of AgNO₃ will react to produce = (0.2 x 1)/2 = 0.1 mole of Ag₂SO₄.

Therefore, 0.1 mole of Ag₂SO₄ is produced from the reaction.

Finally, we shall convert 0.1 mole of Ag₂SO₄ to grams.

This can be obtained as follow:

Molar mass of Ag₂SO₄ = (2x108) + 32 + (16x4) = 312 g/mol

Mole of Ag₂SO₄ = 0.1

Mass of Ag₂SO₄ =?

Mole = mass /Molar mass

0.1 = Mass of Ag₂SO₄ /312

Cross multiply

Mass of Ag₂SO₄ = 0.1 x 312

Mass of Ag₂SO₄ = 31.2 g

Therefore, 31.2 g of Ag₂SO₄ were obtained from the reaction.

CO2+2H2O=H3O^++HCO3^-
bekas [8.4K]

Answer:

Bronsted Lowry Theory

CO_2 is the acid

H_2 O is the base

H_3 O^+ is the conjugate acid and

HCO_3^- is the conjugate base

Explanation:

Bronsted Lowry Theory:

An acid is a substance that can donate one or more protons

A base is a substance which can accept one or more protons

Hydrogen atom which is neutral (No Charge) contains 1 positive proton, 1 negative electron and 0 neutral neutron.

Thus Hydrogen atom has no Charge and it is neutral.

When an hydrogen atom loses an electron, Hydrogen ion is formed, which will contain 1 positive proton and 0 negative electron and 0 neutral neutron.

Thus Hydrogen ion has a positive charge.

Hydrogen ion is also called as a proton since it has only 1 proton in it.

Hydrogen ion in water that is,

H^++H_2O\Rightarrow H_3O^+

H_3O^+ is called as Hydronium ion.

Acid loses H+ (proton) to form conjugate Base

Base gains H+ (proton) to form conjugate Acid

For example

Let us consider the example given in the question

CO_2+2H_2 O>H_3 O^+ +HCO_3^- can be written as (removed 1 H_2 O from both the sides )

CO_2+H_2 O>H^++HCO_3^- or

CO_2+H_2 O > H_2 CO_3 reversing the equation

H_2 CO_3+H_2 O>H_3 O^+ +HCO_3^-

H_2 CO_3 is the acid which donates H^+ to form HCO_3^-

H_2 O is the base which gains H^+ to form H_3 O^+

HCO_3^- is the conjugate base and H_3 O^+ is the conjugate acid

So

CO_2 is the acid

H_2 O is the base

H_3 O^+ is the conjugate acid and

HCO_3^- is the conjugate base

How many seconds are there in 23 days ?
Brrunno [24]
Since there are 23 days and 24 hours in each day, you multi-ply them and get 552 hours. Since each hours is 60 minutes, 552*60 is 33120 minutes. Since one minute is 60 seconds, 60*33120 is 1,987,200 seconds. Therefore, there are 1,987,200 seconds in 23 days.
