Please i need help really quickly on this. thank you
prohojiy [21]

Answer:

the error could have been the fact that the unit for volume wasn't changed from cm³ to dm³

hence the calculation error

the solution to this would be first dividing the volume by 1000 to get that same amount in dm³ which is the standard unit to be used for volume-density calculations

Calculate the theoretical yield for the bromination of both stilbenes
podryga [215]

Answer:

cinnamic acid - 150 mg

cis-stilbene - 100 μL

trans- stilbene - 100 mg

pyridinium tribromide - 200-385 mg

For this data:

moles of cinnamic acid = 0.150 g/148.16 g/mol = 0.001 mols

Theoretical mass of dibromoproduct formed = 0.001 mol x 307.97 g/mol = 0.312 g

cis-stilbene (100 ul = 0.1 ml)

moles of cis-stilbene = 0.1 ml x 1.01 g/mol/180.25 g/mol = 0.00056 mols

Theoretical mass of dibromoproduct formed = 0.00056 mol x 340.05 g/mol = 0.19 g

trans-stilbene

moles of tran-stilbene = 0.1 g/180.25 g/mol = 0.00055 mols

Theoretical mass of dibromoproduct formed = 0.00055 mol x 340.05 g/mol = 0.19 g

Consider the nuclear equation below. 222/66Rn-->218/?Po+4/2He Which is the missing value that will balance the equation? 84 8
erastovalidia [21]

Answer:

84

Explanation:

 • The nuclear equation shows the decay of Radon-222 by emitting an alpha particle to form polonium-218.
 • When a radioactive isotope undergoes alpha-decay, the mass number is decreased by 4 while the atomic number decreases by 2.
 • Therefore, the complete nuclear equation is;

²²²₈₆Rn → ²¹⁸₈₄Po + ⁴₂He

 • The atomic number of Radon-222 decreases from 86 to 84 while the mass number decreases from 222 to 218, forming polonium-218.
