Genetically-Modified Organisms (GMOs) are currently being developed for agriculture. Currently commercialized GM crops in the U.

S. include soy (94%), cotton (90%), canola (90%), sugar beets (95%), corn (88%), and Hawaiian papaya (more than 50%). The use of GMO crops can reduce agricultural costs to farmers and provide greater crop-yields, possibly helping with issues of food shortages. Although this sounds great, there is still a lot of controversy around the use of GMOs. Which of these is a valid argument on why we should not use GMOs in our food?
A) GMOs do not have any nutritional value
B) GMO crops are always more expensive to buy
C) GMO crops are invasive and take over the habitat of local crops
Eliminate
D) there is not enough research on long-term effects of eating GMOs

D. There's not enough research surrounding it. A big question is if they have side effects due to genetic modification that we don't know of.

(Not sure if you had D eliminated or? But it should be the correct answer)

The pressure in a water line is 1500 kpa. what is the line pressure in (a) lb/ft2 units and (b) lbf/in2 (psi) units?
kotegsom [21]

To solve this problem, we know that:

1 psi = 6894.76 Pa

1 lb / ft^2 = 47.88 Pa

Therefore:

a. 1500 x 10^3 Pa * (1 lb / ft^2 / 47.88 Pa) = 31,328.32 lb / ft^2

b. 1500 x 10^3 Pa * (1 psi / 6894.76 Pa) = 217.56 psi

Why do fields store potential energy? an object in the field has charge, fields don’t store potential energy, stationary objects
SpyIntel [72]

Answer:

Hey

Your answer would be:

stationary objects within the field will move when realesed.

The reason why is because fields store potential energy as you know. when something is stationary it has potential, but when it is released that potential energy turns into kinetic energy.

this made me think of a funny joke:

A man was about to jump off of the Empire State Building when a physicist from below yield, Wait don't! you have so much potential!

lol always cracks me up.
