Answer:

In parallel combination each appliance gets the full voltage.

If one appliance is switched on/of others are not affected.

The parallel circuit divide the current through the appliances.

In a parallel combination it is very easy to connect or disconnect a new appliance without affecting the working of other appliances.

For the rest 3 km

Bholu need to run in 5 minutes so

He need to 3 × 1000 / 5 × 60 m/s

3000/ 300 = 10 m/s

So , his speed should be 1 m/s to reach in 5 minute

Light travels through a liquid at 2.25e8 m/s. What is the index of refraction of the liquid?
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer:

The index of refraction of the liquid is n = 1.33 equivalent to that of water

Explanation:

Solution:-

- The index of refraction of light in a medium ( n ) determines the degree of "bending" of light in that medium.

- The index of refraction is material property and proportional to density of the material.

- The denser the material the slower the light will move through associated with considerable diffraction angles.

- The lighter the material the faster the light pass through the material without being diffracted as much.

- So, in the other words index of refraction can be expressed as how fast or slow light passes through a medium.

- The reference of comparison of how fast or slow the light is the value of c = 3.0*10^8 m/s i.e speed of light in vacuum or also assumed to be the case for air.

- so we can mathematically express the index of refraction as a ratio of light speed in the material specified and speed of light.

- The light passes through a liquid with speed v = 2.25*10^8 m/s :

                         n = c / v\\\\n = \frac{ 3*10^8 }{2.25*10^8} \\\\n = 1.33

- The index of refraction of the liquid is n = 1.33 equivalent to that of water.

A series AC circuit contains a resistor, an inductor of 220 mH, a capacitor of 5.50 μF, and a generator with ΔVmax = 240 V opera
ki77a [65]

Answer:

Xl=wL=69.11503383 ohm

Xc=\frac{-1}{wC}= -578.7452476 ohm

Z=\frac{240}{140*10^-3}=1.714285714 kilo-ohm

R=2.223915928 kilo-ohm

\alpha = -12.90698798 centigrades

Explanation:

L=220*10^-3

C=5.50*10^-6

Vmax=240V

Imax=140*10^-3

w=2\pi f=2\pi *50=314.1592654

The capacitive reactance is given by:

Xc=\frac{-1}{wC}=-578.7452476 ohm

Now,  The inductive reactance is given by:

Xl=wL=69.11503383 ohm

By the ohm´s law, the electrical impedance is:

V=IZ

So

Z=\frac{V}{I}

Z=\frac{240}{140*10^-3}=1.714285714 kilo-ohm

The total impedance is:

Z=R+jX\\\\ (*)

Where X is the total reactance given by:

X=Xl+Xc=69.11503383-578.7452476=-509.6302138

Let´s calculate the real part of Z using (*):

R=1714.285714+509.6302138

R=2.223915928 kilo-ohm

Finally the angle between the current and the voltage is equal to the impedance angle:

\alpha=arctan(\frac{-509.6302138}{2223.915928})

\alpha =-12.90698798 centigrades

As the amount of charge on either of two charged objects increases, the electric force between the objects decreases.
Otrada [13]

Answer:

False.

Explanation:
