Answer:

See explanation below

Step-by-step explanation:

a + b = 0

The additive identity establishes that if you add a real number to zero, then you get the same real number back.

The additive inverse of a number x is -x (because x + (-x) = 0)

a+b = 0, but by the additive identity we can add -a (the additive inverse of a) to both sides of the equation:

a + b - a = 0 - a

a + b - a = -a (Now, using the Cancellation property we can cancel a and -a on the left side)

b = -a

Determine the area of the composite figure to the nearest whole number.
olya-2409 [2.1K]

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangle= l×b

= 4cm×6cm

= 24cm²

Area of circle. = πr²

radius of circle = diameter÷2=6÷2=3cm

Area of circle. = 3.14×3²=3.14×9

Area of circle. = 28.26cm²

area \: of \: composite \: figure = area \: of \: circle \: + area \: of \: rectangle

Area of........... = 28.26cm²+24cm²

= 52.26cm²

Answer should be in simplest form
docker41 [41]
You would first subtract 3a^4 from 8a^4
8a^4-3a^4=5a^4, since you can subtract numbers that are like terms.
Same with 5d and 3d
5d-3d=2d
Then you would put the answers together.
5a^4+2d
So the answer is 5a^4+2d

Hey,
We can see here 2 of the angles are equal and the third one is a right angle right?
That means it is an isosceles triangle since they have 2 equel angles and a right anlgle.

Another feature of the isosceles triangle is that 2 sides are equal.
We are given one side is 5.5 right?
So the side BC has to be 5.5 or the side AB has to be 5.5
In isosceles triangles the side opposite to the 90 degree angle is the hypotenuse. This means it is the longest angle.
So it has to be AB which is equal to 5.5 since BC is the hypotenuse.

Hope this helps,Happy New Year
