I agree with the other answer but if you’re wondering why, you substitute it to see if you are right. Example: what is the value of x if x + 3 =4? X is 1. So to verify it you would replace x with 1. So it would be: 1+3=4. It proves your answer.

The slope of the line that passes through the points (9, 11) and (3,6) is what
Natasha_Volkova [10]
Formula for slope (m) is:

(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Our points are (9, 11) and (3, 6).

Therefore we can determine:

y2 = 6
y1 = 11
x2 = 3
x1 = 9

Substitute these into the formula:

(y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

(6 - 11) / (3 - 9)

Solve:

(6 - 11) / (3 - 9)

-5 / -6

Reduce the fraction with -1:

Slope (m) = 5 / 6

The point A(-2, 3) is translated using T: (x,y) → (x + 4, y + 2).
kotegsom [21]

The distance between the points A(-2, 3) and A'(2, 5) is 2√5 units if the point A(-2, 3) is translated using T: (x, y) → (x + 4, y + 2).

What is a distance formula?

It is defined as the formula for finding the distance between two points. It has given the shortest path distance between two points.

The distance formula can be given as:

\rm d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

We have a point A(-2, 3)

After applying the translation:

T: (x,y) → (x + 4, y + 2)

A' = (-2+4, 3+2) = (2, 5)

The distance between A and A':

\rm d=\sqrt{(2+2)^2+(5-3)^2}

d = √20

or

d = 2√5 units

Thus, the distance between the points A(-2, 3) and A'(2, 5) is 2√5 units if the point A(-2, 3) is translated using T: (x, y) → (x + 4, y + 2).
