Answer:

The three hormones are insulin, glucagon, and GIP and GLP-1.

Explanation:

After the ingestion of carbohydrates, insulin increases in the blood generating peaks in blood glucose, therefore the hormone that will increase is insulin to lower blood glucose, promoting the entry of this monosaccharide into the cells.

Different from the moments when the person enters into physical activity, and blood glucose is low, therefore glucagon is activated and seeks to remove the energy reserves from the interior of the cell.

How does the dust bowl relate to human use and abuse of soil?
vitfil [10]

Answer:

Dust bowl resulted from extreme drying and loosening of the soil that resulted in soil erosion by wind. Thus, it can be related that poor agricultural practices like over plowing , over grazing and leaving the land barren are human activities that must have contributed to the dust bowl.

Explanation:

 • Dust bowl is referred to a period in early twentieth century when the the American and Canadian prairies faced severe dust storms.
 • These dust storms resulted from severe drought and failure of practices to prevent soil erosion.
 • Several people and livestock died as a result of choking.
 • Over plowing, removal of top soil and small grasses exposed the soil to eroding winds and caused the dust storms.

Choose the CORRECT statement concerning the cell membrane lipid molecules
VashaNatasha [74]

Answer:

The correct statement concerning the cell membrane lipid molecules is that "energy is not expended during diffusion" (Option d)

Explanation:

Biological membranes are formed by two lipidic layers arranged with their hydrophilic polar heads facing the exterior and the interior of the cells, and their hydrophobic tails against each other. Membranes are fluid, which means that molecules that form it have the capability to move through it.

Lipids can easily change places with other neighbor lipids by lateral diffusion in the same layer. This is passive diffusion, which means that it does not need energy to happen.

Lipids can also diffuse transversally to the other layer, but this kind of movement is not as easy as lateral diffusion.

There are also other lipidic movements as rotational diffusion that imply the rotation of the molecule.

Through this lipidic bilayer, there is also a passive transport of some particles from one side of the cell to the other which happens because of concentration differences.
