Answer : The net ionic equation will be,

2Fe^{3+}(aq)+3Mg(s)\rightarrow 3Mg^{2+}(aq)+2Fe(s)

Explanation :

In the net ionic equations, we are not include the spectator ions in the equations.

Spectator ions : The ions present on reactant and product side which do not participate in a reactions. The same ions present on both the sides.

The given balanced ionic equation will be,

2FeCl_3(aq)+3Mg(s)\rightarrow 3MgCl_2(aq)+2Fe(s)

The ionic equation in separated aqueous solution will be,

2Fe^{3+}(aq)+6Cl^{-}(aq)+3Mg(s)\rightarrow 3Mg^{2+}(aq)+6Cl^{-}(aq)+2Fe(s)

In this equation, Cl^{-} is the spectator ion.

By removing the spectator ions from the balanced ionic equation, we get the net ionic equation.

The net ionic equation will be,

2Fe^{3+}(aq)+3Mg(s)\rightarrow 3Mg^{2+}(aq)+2Fe(s)

The iodide (I2) content of a commercial mineral water was measured by two methods that produced wildly different results.6 Metho
hammer [34]

Answer:

Results from method B is more reliable than method A.

Explanation:

The two method that are used for the analysis produced different results. The first method that is method A  gives higher value of the iodine content than the method B.

When $Mn^{2+}$ was added to water, method A showed an increased in the iodine content and it increases with the increase in the amount of $Mn^{2+}$ .

Where as in the method B, there is no change in the results. Therefore the measurements provided by the method A shows an inference of $Mn^{2+}$ ion.

The measurement of the iodine content is affected by the presence of the ion $Mn^{2+}$ in water.

Since in method B there is no change in measurement, it is independent of the presence $Mn^{2+}$ ion in water.

As higher iodine content is given by method A, so $Mn^{2+}$  ion must be present in original water that must be interfering the measurement. Hence, method B is more reliable.

Monique hears on the weather report that cold, dry air from Canada is going to hit warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico. She
lara [203]

Answer:

She should suspect a Tornado.

Explanation:

Tornadoes form when warm humid air collides with cold dry air. The denser the cold air is pushed over warm air, causing an updraft. As soon as it reaches the ground a tornado is formed.

A square chunk of plastic has a length of 5 cm, width of 5 cm and height of 5 cm. It has a mass of 200 g. What is it’s density
vichka [17]

Answer:

1.6g/mL

Explanation:

Density equation is D=m/v

Density = g/mL

m=mass of sample in grams

v = volume of sample in mL

The volume of a square can be calculated by V=l*w*h.

In this case it is 5cm*5cm*5cm = 125cm^3

Since we know that 1cm^3 ~ 1mL we can convert the volume to mL as so:

125cm^3 (1mL/(1cm^3)) = 125mL

Then simply plug into the density equation:

D=200g/125mL = 1.6g/mL
