so  for 1 mole of H2O 1 mole of CO2 is produced therefore for 0.4 mole of H2O 0.4 mole of CO2  is produced

now 0.4 mole of CO2 contain how much grams=0.4*44=17.6grams

but complete combustion of 2 mole of ethane produce 4 mole of CO2 and 6 moles of H2O

so  for 6 mole of H2O 4 mole of CO2 is produced therefore  for 0.4 moles of H2O 0.27 moles of CO2 is produced
