The ear is one of the sense organs recognised in humans which helps in hearing and for balance maintenance. There are different parts of the ear which includes:

--> the outer ear,

--> the middle ear and

--> the inner ear.

The semicircular canals are made up of three interconnected tubes which are located in the inner part of the ear. It consists of sensory hair cells which vibrates in response to sound.

Sensory hair cells serves as receptors of both auditory and vestibular systems, therefore are necessary for hearing and balancing. These cells can become damaged due to loud noises and sometimes will die resulting in hearing loss.
