Emotional wellness

When it comes to physical activity, diet, and exercise, you may wish to run a marathon before the end of the school year. However, this goal could be difficult to achieve if school ends in just a few months and you are not already training. A more reasonable goal might be to be able to run a mile in the amount of time considered healthy for your age group.

Importance of Physical Education

In addition to staying active, making healthy choices about diet and exercise is important to overall personal and long-term health. Long-term health passed down through generations can also promote healthy family lifestyles.

Fitness

Physical exercise

is the act of improving one's body through specific intentional movements.

Nuclear winter story. A crazy president is trying to solve the global warming problem and has successfully built a powerful H-bo
Irina18 [472]

Answer:

A nuclear winter is a climatic phenomenon that would follow the detonation of several atomic bombs in the event that a nuclear war broke out. These bombs would cause firestorms that would raise smoke, dust and particles into the atmosphere that would end up in the stratosphere and eventually spread throughout the globe.

Explanation:

That idea is far fetched, because even though those same particles would absorb sunlight, it would raise the temperature in the stratosphere and cause a decrease in temperature in the Earth's layer. Unable to seep the sun's rays, many plant species would die and this would affect the entire food chain.

In addition, that temperature rise in the stratosphere would destroy part of the ozone layer, causing greater exposure to ultraviolet rays. This would end up affecting health and further damaging plant species.

5. A bicyclist is finishing her repair of a flat tire when a friend rides by at a constant velocity of
FrozenT [24]

Answer:

a) t = 3.6 s

b) d = 23 m

c) v = 13 m/s

Explanation:

Let t be the time the accelerating rider rides

the distance she travels is

d = ½3.6t²

the distance for the other cyclist is

d =3.5(t + 3)

½3.6t² = 3.5(t + 3)

1.8t² - 3.5t - 10.5 = 0

quadratic formula, positive answer

t = (3.5 + √(3.5² - 4(1.8)(-10.5))) / (2(1.8))

t = 3.575786...

d = ½(3.6)(3.575786²) = 23.015...

v = 3.6(3.575786) = 12.8728...

an elevator filled with passengers has a mass of 1.70\times 10^3~\text{kg}1.70×10 3 kg. after starting to move up the elevat
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

15.64 KN

Explanation:

Given

Mass of the elevator = 1.70 × 10³ kg = 1700 kg

acceleration of the elevator = - 0.6 m/s²

Tension in the cable = ?

The free body diagram is given in the attached image

The net force acting on a body accelerates the body in the same direction as that in which the resultant is applied.

Force balance,

ma = T - mg

1700 (-0.6) = T - (1700×9.8)

T = 16660 - 1020 = 15640 N = 15.64 KN
