Answer:

It is a metal

Explanation:

One of the properties of metals is that metals are malleable. What we mean by malleability is that the metal can be hammered into sheets that can be used for different applications.

Also, metals can react with chlorine when heated to yield diverse halides. This is true of most metal elements.

Please give a brief explanation on all the types of clouds, like stratus, Stratocumulus and etc
blondinia [14]
When water on land or in the ocean evaporates - turns from a liquid to water vapor - it rises. The water vapor cools and turns back into a liquid in the shape of tiny droplets. The result is clouds, unless it's on the ground - then we call it fog. When enough droplets get together they fall to the ground as rain or if it's very cold, they freeze and fall down as snow, sleet or hail. Clouds play an important role in the energy balance of Earth. They cool the earth by reflecting sunlight back out to space. How else do you think astronauts see where they are going? More importantly, clouds replenish our water supply. It's a never-ending cycle but one that keeps the earth balanced. You can tell a lot by looking at a cloud's shape, size and texture. Clouds are put into categories according to their shape, how high they are in the sky, their size, how fast and in what direction they are moving, etc. The three different types of clouds are high clouds (because they are high in the sky), medium clouds and low clouds (just over 10,000 feet high or 3 km.)

What do plants do that requires Energy?
Kruka [31]

Answer:

Photosynthesis

Explanation:

Photosynthesis uses energy from light to convert water and carbon dioxide molecules into glucose (sugar molecule) and oxygen. The oxygen is released, or “exhaled”, from leaves while the energy contained within glucose molecules is used throughout the plant for growth, flower formation, and fruit development.

Which of the following solutions has the HIGHEST hydroxide-ion concentration?a) 0.1 M HClb) 0.1 M H2SOc) a buffer solution with
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

c) a buffer solution with pH= 5

Explanation:

The equation of hydrolisis of water is:

1x10⁻¹⁴ = [H⁺] [OH⁻]

That means if we know [H⁺] we can find hydroxide-ion concentration and vice versa.

a) HCl 0.1M = [H⁺] = 0.1M;

1x10⁻¹⁴ / [H⁺]

1x10⁻¹⁴/ 0.1M = [OH⁻]

1x10⁻¹³M = [OH⁻] hydroxide- ion concentration.

b) 0.1M H₂SO₄ = 0.2M [H⁺]

1x10⁻¹⁴/ 0.2M = [OH⁻]

5x10⁻¹⁴M = [OH⁻]

c) pH = 5.

[H⁺] = 1x10⁻⁵M

1x10⁻¹⁴/ 1x10⁻⁵M = [OH⁻]

1x10⁻⁹M = [OH⁻]

d) pOH = 12.

[OH⁻] = 1x10⁻¹²M

That means risht answer is:

c) a buffer solution with pH= 5

Explain the word atomic number only
GREYUIT [131]

Answer:

atomic number, the number of a chemical element in the periodic system, whereby the elements are arranged in order of increasing number of protons in the nucleus. Accordingly, the number of protons, which is always equal to the number of electrons in the neutral atom, is also the atomic number.
