Answer:

x = 3

y = -3

Step-by-step explanation:

We have two equations and are asked to solve for x and y.

y = -3x + 6

3y = -2x - 3

Substitute the y in the first equation in the second equation :

3(-3x + 6) = -2x - 3

Distribute :

-9x + 18 = -2x - 3

Solve for x by isolating it :

Subtract 18 from both sides :

-9x = -2x - 21

Add 2x to both sides :

-7x = -21

Divide -7 from both sides :

x = 3

Replace x in the first equation :

y = -3(3) + 6

y = -9 + 6

-9 + 6

y = -3

Answer:

1. c

2. b

3. c

4. a

5. b

6. c

7. c

Step-by-step explanation:

1. to check the congrency normally distance formula is used. if the distances/ length are equal we say that sides are congurent.

2. if the slope of two lines are equal then both the lines are parallel. if the product of the slopes of two lines equal to one then lines will be perpendicular.

3. diagonals bisect or not can be checked by using midpoint formula.

4. equilateral triangle if the distance of each side is equal so, distance formula can be used.

Answer: 3:8

Explanation: To get this you have to divide each number by the two numbers' GCF (Greatest Common Factor) and in this case the GCF is 10, so you divide both numbers by 10 and get 3 and 8.

There are two numbers whose sum is 64. The larger number subtracted from 4 times the smaller number gives 31. Find the numbers.
Pani-rosa [81]

There are two numbers whose sum is 64. The larger number subtracted from 4 times the smaller number gives 31. Then the numbers are 45 and 19

Solution:

Given that, There are two numbers whose sum is 64.

Let the number be a and b in which a is bigger.

Then, a + b = 64 ------ eqn (1)

The larger number subtracted from 4 times the smaller number gives 31.

4 x b – a = 31

4b – a = 31 ----- eqn (2)

We have to find the numbers.

So, from eqn (2)

a = 4b – 31

Subatitute a in (1)

4b – 31 + b = 64

On solving we get

5b = 64 + 31

5b = 95

b = 19

So, b = 19, then eqn 1

a + 19 = 64

On simplification,

a = 64 – 19

a = 45

Hence, the two numbers are 45 and 19
