Answer:

There are 40 musicians that are only marching band.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we knot that there are 25 musicians that do both that means there is 60 - 25 = 35 musicians who do only jazz band. From his we can answer the question because....

100 = a + b + c

Where "a" is the number of musicians who go only to jazz, "b" is the number of people who do both, and "c"  is the number of people that go only to the marching band. From here we can do this....

100 = a + b + c

c = 100 - a - b

Substitute the value we found outa and get.....

c = 100 - 35 - 25

c = 40

HACTEHA [7]

Answer:

The product of 8 and n decreased by 5 is less than 25

Step-by-step explanation:

An inequality is used to compare two values, showing that one value smaller than, larger than, or not equal to another value. x ≠ y means that x is not equal to y. x < y means that x is less than y and x > y means that x is greater than y.

The inequality 8n - 5 <  25 can be written in statement as the product of 8 and n decreased by 5 is less than 25.

The product of 8 and n (means 8n) decreased by 5 (means 8n - 5) is less than 25 (means 8n - 25 < 25)

Hey there!

2ab + 2 / 2ab - 2

= 2(1)(3) + 2 / 2(1)(3) - 2

= 2(3) + 2 / 2(3) - 2

= 6 + 2 / 6 - 2

= 8 / 4

= 2

Therefore, your answer should be: 2

erastovalidia [21]

Answer: b=13, t=29

Step-by-step explanation:

Substituting the first equation into the second,

2b+2+b=41\\\\3b+2=41\\\\3b=39\\\\b=13\\\\\implies t=2(13)+2=29

Help for both a and b
kipiarov [429]

Hi!

Remember that an x-intercept is a point in which the line touches the x-axis (the horizontal line). And, the y-intercept is a point in which the line touches the y-axis (the vertical/up and down line)

-----------------

For A)

The coordinate of the y-intercept is (0,1)

The coordinate of the x-intercept is (3,0)

For B)

The coordinate of the y-intercept is (0,0)

The coordinate of the x-intercept is (0,0) !

*both the x and y axis meet at the origin. So, a line that goes through the origin (0,0) is intersecting with BOTH the x and y-axis.

Hope I helped! Comment if you have any questions or concerns.

Luke earned $36,000 during the first year of his job at Putt-Putt Kingdom. After each year he received a 10% raise. Find his tot
Lady_Fox [76]
In order to solve this problem, you need to use a geometric series:
S_{n} =  \frac{ a_{1}(1 - r^{n}) }{1 - r}
where:
a₁ = first term of the series = 36000
r = common rate = 10% raise, therefore 1.10
n = number of terms = 5

Therefore,
 <span>S_{n} =  \frac{ 36000(1 - 1.10^{5}) }{1 - 1.10}
= 219783.60 $

Luke's total earnings in five years are <span>219783.60 $.</span>
