Given that,

Michael is leaving a 15% tip for his waitress.

To find,

What percent of the  original price will he pay.

Solution,

Let the original price was 100%.

When he leaves a 15% tip for the waitress, he is really paying 100%+15%=115% of the original price.

115\%=\dfrac{115}{100}\\\\=1.15

or

\dfrac{115}{100}=\dfrac{23}{20}

So, this is the required solution.

The Third Side Is Called The base if an isosceles triangle has perimeter 345 cm and base length 85 cm what is the length of each
maks197457 [2]

Answer:

Length of each leg = 130 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that there is an isosceles triangle which has perimeter 345 cm.

Base length =85 cm.

Since other two sides are equal, let the equal size = x

Perimeter = sum of all 3 sides of a triangle

= 85+x+x = 85+2x

But perimeter = 345 (given)

So equate x term perimeter with actual

85+2x = 345

Subtract 85

2x = 260

Divide by 2

x =130 cm.

Hence answer is 130 cm.

Write an equation of the line that passes through (1,2) and is parallel to the line y=-5x+4
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

The equation of the Parallel line to the given line is  5x+y-7=0

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>Explanation:-</em></u>

Given that the line y = - 5x+4 and point (1,2)

The equation of the Parallel line to the given line is  ax+by+k=0

Given straight line  5x + y -4 =0

The equation of the Parallel line to the given line is  5x+y+k=0

This line passes through the point (1,2)

             5x+y+k=0

            5(1)+2+k=0

⇒              7+k=0

                   k =-7

<u>Final answer:-</u>

The equation of the Parallel line to the given line is  5x+y-7=0

Graph 14x+34y=1 pretty please with a cherry on top!Also thank-you
Svetlanka [38]
To make it much easier, it should be converted to the slope-intercept form
 y = mx + b

To do so, 14x + 34y = 1 turns to:
34y = -14x + 1

Divide both sides by 34:
\frac{34y}{34} =  \frac{-14}{34} x +  \frac{1}{34}
Simplified:
y = \frac{-7}{17} x + \frac{1}{34}

Answer: y = -\frac{7}{17} x + \frac{1}{34}
Here is the graph:
