Which best describes what happens when 50 mL of 0.0010M CaCl2 is added to 50 mL of 0.010M Na2SO4? (The Ksp of CaSO4 = 2.4 × 10–5

.)
The solution will be at equilibrium.

When the solutions are diluted in half:
So [ Ca+2] = 0.001/2 = 0.0005 M
[SO4-2]= 0.01/2 =0.005

when Q = [Ca2+][SO4-2]
so by substitution:

Q = 0.0005*0.005 = 2.5x10^-6
by comparing with Ksp value
So when Q < Ksp
∴ the answer is no precipitation will occur, as the solution is unsaturated.

Which statement best describes the collisions of gas particles according to the kinetic-molecular theory?
erastovalidia [21]
The statement best describes the collisions of gas particles according to the kinetic-molecular theory is that the collisions of gas particles in an ideal gas are completely elastic. An expansion in the quantity of gas particles in the holder expands the recurrence of impacts with the dividers and in this manner the weight of the gas. The last propose of the motor sub-atomic hypothesis expresses that the normal active vitality of a gas molecule depends just on the temperature of the gas.

11. Many metals are described as ductile, which means they can be
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

Option (3)

Explanation:

Ductility of a substance is defined as the property by which a substance can be hammered and change its form into thin, stretched wires. In simple words, the ductile materials can be drawn into thin wires. Some of the examples of ductile substances are gold, copper and silver.

The rocks also have this property which means that they have the capacity to get deformed into enormous strains in the absence of large scale fracturing.

Thus, the correct answer is an option (3).

Find w12, the work done on the gas as it expands from state 1 to state 2.
dem82 [27]
The equation for work is
W = PdV
and it is integrated and limits are the conditions of state 1 and state 2
If the gas is ideal and the expansion is isothermal, then P = nRT/V and the equation can be integrated with respect to V
If the process is adiabatic, the equation P1V1^g = PV^g can be used to substitue P in terms of conditions of State 1.
