Answer:

5.94m/s

Explanation:

Using the law of conservation of momentum;

mAuA+ mBuB = mAvA+mBvB

Substitute the given values

1.4(3.7) + 0.55(0) = 1.4(2.3) + 0.55vB

5.18 + 0 = 3.22 + 0.55vB

5.18 - 3.22 = 0.55vB

1.96 = 0.33vB

vB = 1.96/0.33

vB = 5.94m/s

Hence the velocity of Ball B be after the collision is 5.94m/s

Answer: They’d fall at the same speed, because air resistance is the only thing that makes an object fall faster than another. There’s a video somewhere on the internet of a bowling ball and a feather falling at the same speed in a vacuum, if you look for it. Hope this helps!

1 (a) A large stone, initially at rest, falls from the top of a building. The stone takes 3.2s to fall to the ground. For this s
Marina CMI [18]

The formula that can be used to show that the speed of the stone when it hits the ground is 32 m/s is v = u + at

According to equations of motion,

v = u + at

v = Final velocity

u = Initial velocity

t = Time

a = Acceleration due to gravity

t = 3.2 s

a = 10 m / s²

v = 0 + ( 10 * 3.2 )

v = 32 m /s

Equations of motion are used to describe the position of a moving object in a constantly accelerated manner. The position can be described using acceleration, velocity, displacement and time.

Therefore, the formula that can be used to show that the speed of the stone when it hits the ground is 32 m/s is v = u + at

One runner in a relay race has a 1.50 s lead and is running at a constant speed of 3.25 m/s. The runner has 30.0 m to run before
yarga [219]
The second runner must run 3.3m/s. If the leading runner is 1.5 seconds ahead and there are 30m left, the second runner would need to run slightly faster than the lead in order to finish at the same time. To calculate this I did 30/1.5 which gave me 0.05. I added this onto the speed of the lead runner to get 3.3m/s :)
