I believe self esteem is about how confident one is with themselves and whether they are happy around people; if they have a low self esteem it means the person does not believe in themselves and sees themselves as not upto some sort of standard.
(My mom is in the healthcare facilities) So they use them to keep their logs and to keep track of patients, AND to email people for meds.
