How many triangles can be constructed with sides measuring 15 cm, 7 cm, and 5 cm? none more than one one
IrinaK [193]
<h3>Answer:  one</h3>

Reason:

The SSS (side side side) congruence rule says that two triangles are congruent if we have three pairs of sides that are the same length. Any triangle you construct that has side lengths 15, 7, and 5 will be congruent to the original triangle by the SSS rule. You may have to translate, rotate or reflect the second triangle so that it lines up perfectly with the first triangle.

Alternatively, consider triangle ABC that is the given triangle. Let AB = 15, BC = 7, and AC = 5. Then consider another triangle DEF such that DE = 15, EF = 7, and DF = 5. It is possible to do a series of translations, rotations, or reflections such that we get triangle DEF to overlap triangle ABC perfectly.

A wire 390 in. long is cut into two pieces. One piece is formed into a square and the other into a circle. If the two figures ha
jeka57 [31]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x is the length of the square side.

We know: the two figures have the same area

<=> x^{2} = πr^{2} (r being radius)

<=> x = \sqrt{II} r

perimeter square = 4x = 4*r*\sqrt{II}

perimeter circle = 2*r*π

<=> 390 = 4*r*\sqrt{II}  + 2*r*π

<=> r = 29.16

=> perimeter square =  4*29.16*π

=> perimeter circle = 58.32π

The answer is $300 because you have to multiply 25x12. 10x25=250 and 2x25=50. 250+50=300.

Can some one help me asap
zavuch27 [327]
It'd be easier to do #18 if y ou were to break it up:

                                                        14* (first term + 14th term)
Sum from n=1 to 14 of n =  S      = ---------------------------------
                                               14                       2

     14(1+14)
= ---------------- = 7(15) = 105
           2

The sum of twice that is 210.  The sum of "1 from n=1 to n=14" is just 14.

The final sum is 210 + 14 = 224 (answer)
