You need to calibrate your giant paintball bazooka, so you're fired at an angle of 60° and you find that the giant paintball spl

Answer:

Vx = V0 cos 60 = V0 ./ 2        horizontal speed

Vy = V0 sin 69 = V0 * .866 = .866 V0   vertical speed

t = 107 / Vx = 214 / V0   time to travel 107 m

h = Vy t - 1/2 * g t*2   time to fall 1.7 m

-1.7 = .866 V0 * 214 / V0 - 4.9 * (214 / V0)^2           substituting

224400 / V0^2 = 187

V0 = (224400 / 187)^1/2 = 2=34.64 m/s

t = 214 / 34.64 = 6.178 stc

Check:    h = Vy t - 1/2 g t^2

-1.7 = .866 * 34.64 * 6.178 - 4.9 * 6.178^2

-1.7  = -1.69

An airplane travels 2400 km at a speed of 600 km/h, decreases its speed to 400 km/h for the next 1200 km and travels the last 2,
Alexus [3.1K]
Forget the numbers and think about how speed works for a second. If a plane flies at 600km/h, this means that it will fly exactly 600 km in 1 hour. So, how long would it take to fly 2400 km??

2400/600 = 4hours.

Do this for all three and add up the hours.

Total time: 12 hours

Average speed is the total distance / total time.

So,

Add up all the distances and divide by 12.

(2400+1200+2500) / 12

Average speed: 508.33333333 km/h

What is the ph of a buffer solution that is 0.172 m in hclo and 0.131 m in naclo? hint: the ka of hclo is 3.8 x 10-8.
nata0808 [166]

The pH of the buffer solution is 7.30 for 0.172 m in Hypochlorous acid and 0.131 m in Sodium hypochlorite.

<h3>What is a buffer solution?</h3>

A weak acid and its conjugate base, or a weak base and its conjugate acid, are mixed together to form a solution called a buffer solution, which is based on water as the solvent. They do not change in pH when diluted or when modest amounts of acid or alkali are added to them. A relatively little amount of a strong acid or strong base has little effect on the pH of buffer solutions. As a result, they are employed to maintain a steady pH.

According to the question:

Ka = 3.8×10⁻⁸

pKa = - log (Ka)

= - log(3.8×10⁻⁸)

= 7.42

pH = pKa + log {[conjugate base]/[acid]}

= 7.42+ log {0.131/0.172}

= 7.302

Calculate the first and second order angles for light of wavelength 400. nm and 700. nm of the grating contains 1.00 x 104 lines
Verdich [7]

Answer:

23.58^{\circ} and 53.13^{\circ}

44.43^{\circ}, second order does not exist

Explanation:

n = Number of lines grating = 1\times10^4\ \text{Lines/cm}

\lambda = Wavelength

m = Order

Distance between slits is given by

d=\dfrac{1}{n}\\\Rightarrow d=\dfrac{1}{1\times 10^4}\\\Rightarrow d=10^{-6}\ \text{m}

\lambda=400\ \text{nm}

m = 1

We have the relation

d\sin\theta=m\lambda\\\Rightarrow \theta=\sin^{-1}\dfrac{m\lambda}{d}\\\Rightarrow \theta=\sin^{-1}\dfrac{1\times 400\times 10^{-9}}{10^{-6}}\\\Rightarrow \theta=23.58^{\circ}

m = 2

\theta=\sin^{-1}\dfrac{2\times 400\times 10^{-9}}{10^{-6}}\\\Rightarrow \theta=53.13^{\circ}

The first and second order angles for light of wavelength 400 nm are 23.58^{\circ} and 53.13^{\circ}.

\lambda=700\ \text{nm}

m = 1

\theta=\sin^{-1}\dfrac{1\times 700\times 10^{-9}}{10^{-6}}\\\Rightarrow \theta=44.43^{\circ}

m = 2

\theta=\sin^{-1}\dfrac{2\times 700\times 10^{-9}}{10^{-6}}

Here \dfrac{2\times 700\times 10^{-9}}{10^{-6}}=1.4>1 so there is no second order angle for this case.

The first order angle for light of wavelength 700 nm are 44.43^{\circ}.

Second order angle does not exist.

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. What does these words mean in physics?
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer:

The above given statement represent the Newton;'s 3rd law of motion.

This describes that when two objects collides or interacts with each other, there occurs a pair of forces that directly acts on the two colliding objects. The force exerted on both the sides are of equal magnitude.

For example, there are two contrasting body named M and N, which collides with each other. This collision results in the occurrence of force acting on both the objects. The body M exerts a force on body N and similarly, the body N exerts a force on body M, and this two forces are equal in amount.
