Hello,

The correct answer is B) 280 in²

= 10( 2 × 9 + 10 )

= 10 (2 × 9 = 18 + 10 = 28)

= 10 × 28 = 280

= 280

Answer: 280 in²

In other words.....

= 10(2*9+10)

= 10(18+10)

= 10*28

= 280

Answer: 280 in²

Hope this helps!!!! (:

AD is a diameter of circle ABCDE . Angle BAC=22° & angle ADC=60°. AE and ED are parallel lines. Find the values of w, x,y,an
Svetach [21]

Answer:

x = 22°

w = 30°

y = 30°

z = 52°

Step-by-step explanation:

From ΔACD,

AD is the diameter and ∠ACD is the angle subtended by the diameter.

Therefore, m∠ACD = 90°

By triangle sum theorem,

m∠DAC + m∠ACD + m∠CDA = 180°

w° + 90° + 60° = 180°

w = 180 - 150

w = 30°

AB║ED and AD is a transversal line.

Therefore, m∠BAD = m∠ADE

(w + 22)° = z°

30 + 22 = z

z = 52°

Since, ∠CEB and ∠BAC are the inscribed angles subtended by the same arc BC,

Therefore, m∠CEB = m∠BAC

x = 22°

Similarly, ∠CED and ∠DAC are the inscribed angles subtended by the same arc CD,

m∠CED = m∠DAC = 30°

y = 30°

You are measuring the height of a statue. You stand 17 feet from the base of the statue. You measure the angle of elevation from
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

height ≈ 31 ft

Step-by-step explanation:

The illustration below will form a right angle triangle. He is standing 17 ft away from the base of the statue.  The angle of elevation from the ground to the top of the statue  is 61°. The height of the statue can be computed below.

adjacent side of the triangle = 17 ft

opposite side = a

Using SOHCAHTOA principle

tan 61° = opposite/adjacent

tan 61° = a/17

cross multiply

a = 17 tan 61°

a = 17 × 1.80404775527

a = 30.6688118396

a ≈ 31 ft
