Answer : Maximum height of the pendulum is 0.43 m

Explanation :

Given that,

Mass of the pendulum, m = 2 kg

Speed of the pendulum, v = 2.9 m/s

When it reaches the lowest point on its path, the potential energy at the highest point is equal to the kinetic energy at the lowest point.

i.e.

KE=PE

\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2=mgh

h is the height of the pendulum.

h=\dfrac{v^2}{2g}

h=\dfrac{(2.9\ m/s)^2}{2\times 9.8\ m/s^2}

h=0.43\ m

Hence, this is the required solution.

You first us 1/2(mv^2) to solve for the potential energy and then put that in to PE=m*g*h and solve for hight

Answer:

P = 200 W

Explanation:

The expression for the power is

        P = W / t

the job

       W = F d

we substitute

      P = F d / t

      P = F. v

We apply this equation to our case where the velocity is

 v = (5 i + 3j + 6k) m / s

and the force is

 F = (10i + 10j +20 k) N

we substitute in the power equation, remember that the scalar product of the unit vectors is

i.i = j.j = k.k = 1 and the other products are zero

    P = 10 5 + 10 3 + 20 6

    P = 200 W

Harry and Hagrid needed to get money out of Gringotts bank. The bank cart was accelerating at a rate of 4 m/s2 and it had a mass
Nutka1998 [239]

a = acceleration of the bank cart = 4 m/s²

m = mass of the bank cart = 8000 kg

F = net force on the cart

According to newton's second law , Net force is the product of mass of the object and the acceleration of the object.

Net force = mass x net acceleration

hence Net force acting on the cart is given as

F = ma

F = 8000 x 4

F = 32000 N

hence the net force acting on the cart comes out to be 32000 N
