The molarity of concentrated acetic acid is 17.45 M. When acetic acid is diluted in water it is commonly called vinegar with a m

olarity of 0.83M. Lays potato chips needs to make 250. mL of vinegar for a test batch of potato chips.

M1 = 17.45 M

M2 = 0.83 M

V2 = 250 ml

M1. V1= M2. V2

V1 = (M2. V2)/M1 = (0.83× 250)/ 17.45= 11.89 ml

How can i prove that nascent oxygen more reactive than normal oxygen ?
laila [671]
Nascent oxygen has much higher reactivity than the oxygen bubbled through the reaction mixture. It doesn't stay nascent for long (you are right about it being converted quick to just O2), which is why it has to be generated in situ

What is the difference between extensive and intensive physical properties?
cestrela7 [59]
Extensive properties, such as mass and volume, depend on the amount of matter being measured.Intensive properties, such as density and color, do not depend on the amount of the substance present.Physical properties can be measured without changing a substance's chemical identity.

Write the correct ionic formula when given two elements that bond ionically.
Tanzania [10]
Answer:
            Ionic bond is formed by the opposite ions attraction between the 2 atoms in an ionically bonded compound. The two ions i.e. Cation and Anions are formed by oxidation and reduction reactions respectively. General Ionic formula is as follow,

                                             Mⁿ⁺ + Nⁿ⁻   →  MN
where;
           Mⁿ⁺   =  Cation

           Nⁿ⁻   =  Anion

           MN  =  Salt

Explanation:
                   Ionic bond is the electrostatic forces of attraction between positively charged cations and negatively charged Anions. These forces are very stronger resulting in increasing several physical properties of Ionic compounds like melting point and boiling point e.t.c.

Example:

Sodium Chloride:
                           NaCl is formed by Na⁺ cation and Cl⁻ anion as follow,

Oxidation of Na;

                                      2 Na  →  2 Na⁺  +  2 e⁻
Reduction of Cl₂;

                                    Cl₂  +  2 e⁻  →  2 Cl⁻

Crystal Lattice formation is as follow,

                                  Na⁺  +  Cl⁻   →  NaCl
