Water is able to maintain the temperature of living organisms, keeping them from freezing or overheating. This is because water
dmitriy555 [2]

Answer:

High specific heat.

Explanation:

Water is able to maintain the temperature of living organisms because it has highest specific heat. Specific heat is a physical property of matter. If specific heat is high then the matter does not get heated easily but once it is heated it does not cool down easily either. In short we can say that water can easily resist temperature changes because it has very high specific heat. This property plays a great role in maintaining the temperature of a living organism's body because all organisms have water in their body. When heat is generated within the body, it is unable to disrupt internal temperature of the organism's body because the water does not get heated easily as a result of which the temperature of the body does not rise. On the other hand, the internal temperature of the body remains the same with slight decrease in the temperature outside because water does not radiate heat easily either. This is how high specific heat of water helps in maintaining a constant temperature in the body of organisms.

Generally describe what forces ultimately shaped the earth into its modern form
Trava [24]

The force of gravity is a major force that created the earth. As rocks and ice clumped together as they spun around the newly formed star (sun), the force of gravitational pull increased and attracted more debris (rocks and ice). The clumps of rocks, debris, and ice, therefore, grew into a planet.

Another is electromagnetic force. The spinning currents in the outer core of the earth create a dynamo effect that forms a magnetic field around the earth. This shields the earth from the solar storms of the sun hence protects life and the atmosphere.

Weak nuclear force is responsible for maintaining the heat of the earth’s interior which is critical for maintaining the dynamo effect of the outer core so the earth is protected by its magnetic field.

What do we mean when we refer to a cell as differentiated?
Otrada [13]

Answer:

We mean that a cell changes to another type of cell.

Explanation:

Stem cells are a type of cell that has the potential to become a specialized cell, this change or differentiation, is possible thanks to the activation or deactivation of certain genes that promote (or inhibit) the expression of certain proteins that origins different types of cells (fmuscle cells, osteocytes, neurons). This differentiation happens when the cells receive cues internally ( through signals or contact between a group of cells and another or through transcription factors) or externally.

Then, a differentiated cell is a cell that had gone under the previously described process.

I hope this information is useful to you!
