People are expected to always act one certain way.

Explanation:

If they mess up, people close to them may see these people differently, and they may doubt their self worth.

(I know from experience. Being in honors classes is tough)

Answer: The labels gifted and honors can hold people back because they will always have that stress of having to be perfect. you are basically putting that person on a pedestal and it will end up making their life so much harder because of it.
