If the solution containing the metal complex ion is made acidic, why will the silver chloride precipitate
Ne4ueva [31]

Answer,

For example, silver ion can be precipitated with hydrochloric acid to yield solid silver chloride. Because many cations will not react with hydrochloric acid in this way, this simple reaction can be used to separate ions that form insoluble chlorides from those that do not.

What is the ph of a very acidic solution?
Nadya [2.5K]

Answer:

pH = -1

Explanation:

A solution of 10 mol·L⁻¹ HCl is very acidic.

HCl is a strong acid, so it dissociates completely in water and

[\text{H}_{3}\text{O}^{+}] = \text{10 mol/L}

To get the pH, you take the negative logarithm of the hydronium ion concentration.

\text{pH} = -\log{(10)} = -1\\

So, a pH = -1 represents a very acidic solution.

Which substance will evaporate first???????????????????
torisob [31]

Answer:

I think it would be a liquid.

Explanation:

If the temperature hits a certain point, it will turn to ice. If the ice gets exposed to heat, it will melt and return back to it's natural form, a lqiuid. If the liquid is exposed to enough heat, it will evaporate. Not sure if this is right, but I tried my best!

If you have an aqueous solution that contains 1.5 moles of HCl, how many moles of ions are in the solution?
Citrus2011 [14]
There will be three moles of ions.
Because in an aqueous solution, HCl will break apart into  <span>H<span>+ and Cl- ions.
</span></span>HCl -> <span>H+</span><span> + </span><span>C<span>l<span>−
</span></span></span>1.5 HCl -> 1.5 H+ + 1.5 Cl−<span>
So the aqueous solution will have 1.5 moles of hydrated hydrogen ions and 1.5 moles of hydrated chloride ions. So, a total of 3 moles of ions are present in the aqueous solution of 1.5 moles of HCl. </span>
