Which phrase best describes sir isaac newton's contributions to modern science and therefore to the industrial revolution?
astraxan [27]
Can you please give the phrases?

But, I'll help what I can.

First, he was the first to discover gravity. He was not bonked by the head by an apple, rather he watched an apple fall from a tree before he decided to explore gravity further.

He was also the first scientist to be knighted, which is a great honor, as you can expect.

Newton also developed The Three Laws of Motion. They are extremely important to physics and are considered some of the foundation for physics today.

He also discovered calculus, which is complex math that is very helpful to scientists today.

He also discovered the color spectrum using a glass prism, a dark room and window shade with a hole in it. He was able to project the color spectrum onto a piece of paper.

Those are the few I can think of now, but hope it helps!

The amount of friction divided by the weight of an object forms a unit less number called the
Romashka [77]

Answer:

Coefficient of friction.

Explanation:

The amount of friction divided by the weight of an object is equal to the coefficient of friction. It is a dimensional less number. It can be given by :

F=\mu N

N is normal force.

\mu = coefficient of friction

\mu=\dfrac{F}{N}

A wheel has a radius of r = 2.0 m and it rolls down a smooth incline. The height of the incline is h = 8.0 m . What is the angul
zepelin [54]

The angular velocity of the wheel at the bottom of the incline is 4.429 rad/sec

The angular velocity (ω) of an object is the rate at which the object's angle position is changing in relation to time.

For a wheel attached to an incline angle, the angular velocity can be computed by considering the conservation of energy theorem.

As such the total kinetic energy (K.E) and rotational kinetic energy (R.K.E) at a point is equal to the total potential energy (P.E) at the other point.

i.e.

P.E = K.E + R.K.E

\mathbf{mgh = \dfrac{1}{2}m(r \times \omega)^2 + \dfrac{1}{2}\times I \times \omega^2}

\mathbf{gh = \dfrac{1}{2}(r \times \omega)^2 + \dfrac{1}{2}\times r^2 \times \omega^2}

\mathbf{2 \times \dfrac{gh}{r^2} =\omega^2 +  \omega^2}

\mathbf{2 \omega^2=2 \times \dfrac{9.81 \times 8 m }{2.0 ^2}  }

\mathbf{\omega^2=\dfrac{39.24 }{2}}

\mathbf{\omega=\sqrt{19.62 } \ rad/sec}

\mathbf{\omega=4.429 \ rad/sec}

Therefore, we can conclude that the angular velocity of the wheel at the bottom of the incline is 4.429 rad/sec

If you want to increase the gravitational force between two objects; would you rather double the mass of one object or halve the
Step2247 [10]

To solve this problem we will apply the concepts related to the Force of gravity from Newtonian theory for which it is necessary to

F = \frac{GMm}{R^2}

Where,

G = Gravitational universal constant

M = Mass of Earth

m = mass of Object

x = Distance between center of mass of the objects.

From this equation we can observe that the Force is inversely proportional to the squared distance between the two objects. The greater the distance, the lower the force of gravity and vice versa.

F \propto \frac{1}{R^2}

If you want to increase the force of gravity, you need to reduce the distance of the two. Therefore the correct option is B. Talk to the distance between them.
