Answer: Loss, 200 Rs

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Sharad bought  a quintal of onion i.e. 1000\ kg for Rs.\ 2000

So, the cost price of onion is

\Rightarrow \dfrac{2000}{100}=20\ \text{Rs per kg}

He sells it at 18\ \text{Rs. per kg}

Here, the Selling price is less than the cost price

So, he incurs a loss of 2\ \text{Rs per kg}

For a quintal it is

\Rightarrow 2\times 100=200\ \text{Rs}

\Rightarrow \text{Loss }\ \%=\dfrac{C.P.-S.P.}{C.P.}\times 100\\\\\Rightarrow \text{Loss }\ \%=\dfrac{20-18}{20}\times 100=10\%

Is. = %
Of. 100
So we're looking for 5% of the 350,000 which will be x

X. = 5
350000. 100
Cross multiply
100x=1750000
Divide by 100

X=17500
