Answer:

The coronavirus has RNA?

Explanation:

Coronaviruses are important human and animal pathogens and contain an extraordinarily long (27-31 kb) RNA genome. Its RNA synthesis involves complex mechanisms of regulation, similar to those of DNA viruses. In this treatise, mouse hepatitis virus (MHV) is used as a model for the discussion of the mechanism of viral RNA synthesis. We show that MHV RNA synthesis requires interactions of multiple RNA components, which are likely mediated by protein-RNA and protein-protein, as well as RNA-RNA, interactions. This virus also provides a unique example of a discontinuous transcription mechanism, which involves a trans-acting RNA component. Finally, study of the cis-acting signals for the various steps of RNA synthesis revealed an insight into the regulation of viral RNA synthesis. This discussion suggests that the regulation of RNA synthesis in coronavirus is more complex than previously thought possible for RNA viruses. Coronavirus RNA transcription and replication may serve as a paradigm of RNA synthesis for RNA viruses in general.

A sample of an unknown compound has a percent composition of 52.14% carbon, 13.13% hydrogen, and 34.73% oxygen. Which compounds
Artemon [7]

Answer:

                The two possible compounds are;

                            1) Dimethyl Ether H₃C--O--CH₃

                           2) Ethanol  H₃C--CH₂--OH

Solution:

Step 1: Calculate Moles of each Element;

                      Moles of C  =  %C ÷ At.Mass of C

                      Moles of C  =  52.14 ÷ 12.01

                      Moles of C  =  4.341 mol

                      Moles of H  =  %H ÷ At.Mass of H

                      Moles of H  =  13.13 ÷ 1.01

                      Moles of H  =  13.00 mol

                      Moles of O  =  %O ÷ At.Mass of O

                      Moles of O  =  34.73 ÷ 16.0

                      Moles of O  =  2.170 mol

Step 2: Find out mole ratio and simplify it;

                C                                        H                                     O

            4.341                                 13.00                              2.170

     4.341/2.170                      13.00/2.170                    2.170/2.170

               2                                      5.99                                    1

               2                                        6                                       1

Hence,  Empirical Formula  =  C₂H₆O

Result:

         As the molecular mass of compound is not given therefore, we can assume and guess the empirical formula to be the molecular formula. Hence, possible compounds are,

                            1) Dimethyl Ether H₃C--O--CH₃

                           2) Ethanol  H₃C--CH₂--OH

Write the balanced neutralization reaction that occurs between H 2 SO 4 and KOH in aqueous solution. Phases are optional. neutra
Mariulka [41]

Answer:

0.168 M

Explanation:

First, this is a reaction between the a strong base and a strong acid, therefore, we do not have to count with the acid constant of equilibrium. This reaction is taking place completely and occurs a neutralization, which is the following reaction:

H₂SO₄(aq) + 2KOH(aq) <------> K₂SO₄(s) + 2H₂O(l)

Now that we have the reaction, we can go to the second part of the question.

To calculate the remaining concentration after neutralization, we need to calculate the moles of the reactants and determine which is the limiting reactant.

The moles of the reactants:

moles A = 0.42 * 0.15 = 0.063 moles

moles B = 0.210 * 0.1 = 0.021 moles

Now that we have the moles, let's calculate the limiting reactant:

H₂SO₄(aq) + 2KOH(aq) <------> K₂SO₄(s) + 2H₂O(l)

If:

1 moles A ---------> 2 moles B

0.063 A -----------> X

X = 0.063 * 2 = 0.126 moles of B

However, we only have 0.021 moles of base, so, this is the limiting reactant.

Now that we know this, let's see the remaining moles of the acid, after the base reacts completely:

moles of A remaining = 0.063 - 0.021 = 0.042 moles

Finally to get the concentration, we have the volume of acid and the base together, so, the final volume is 0.25 L:

C = 0.042 / 0.25 = 0.168 M

This is the final concentration of the acid

Write a balanced equation for the combustion of
isooctane,C8 H16 a component of
gasoline.
algol13

Answer: The balanced chemical equation for the combustion of isooctane is written below.

Explanation:

Combustion reactions are defined as the reactions in which a hydrocarbon reacts with oxygen gas to produce carbon dioxide and water. Heat is released during these reactions.

A balanced chemical equation is defined as the equation in which total number of individual atoms on the reactant side is equal to the total number of individual atoms on product side.

The balanced chemical equation for the combustion of isooctane follows:

C_8H_{16}+12O_2\rightarrow 8CO_2+8H_2O

By Stoichiometry of the reaction:

1 mole of isooctane reacts with 12 moles of oxygen gas to produce 8 moles of carbon dioxide and 8 moles of water molecule.

Hence, the balanced chemical equation for the combustion of isooctane is written above.
