A is hypertonic so water is leaving the cell going into the solution, the cell shrinks. B is isotonic so there is no net transfer of water. C is hypotonic so water is entering the cell from the solution, the cell expands and can rupture.

Alekssandra [29.7K]

Answer:

The correct answer is B.

Explanation:

Given there is a hybrid produced between two species Rana Ridibunda and Rana Lessonae and their offspring can not reproduce, this can mean there is "Postzygotic Isolation" between the said two species. Postzygotic Isolation is defined as "not being able to have fertile offspring" and that is the case in the example. I hope this answer helps.

Dimas [21]
This demonstrates Mendel's law of independent assortment.
The law of independent assortment refers to the independent separation of different genes when the reproductive cells are formed. Mendel's experiments included crosses of organisms that differed in two traits. He observed that the combinations of traits in the offspring did not always match the combinations of traits in the parent organisms.

Which is produced when an egg cell is fertilized by a sperm cell?
Leno4ka [110]

The correct answer is B.

Formation of an embryo begins  when the sperm cell meets an egg. When they meet, a zygote  is first formed. A zygote is a single diploid cell created when two haploid cells merge.

The zygote begins to divide , and when this division starts, the zygote turns into an embryo. So an embryo is an organism that is at the early stages of development and which is not able to survive on its own.

The term embryo is used only  to refer to eukaryotes or organisms that are multi cellular.
