Determine whether the sample is biased or unbiased. Explain how you know. If the sample is biased, give an example of an unbiase

d sample for the situation. You want to estimate the number of students in your school who play a musical instrument. You survey the first 15 students who arrive at a band class.

Answer: This is a biased sample.

Step-by-step explanation:

A biased sample is when there is some kind of "selection" in your sampling process, where in order to avoid this we should have the most random selection that we can make

Here, the sample is "the first 15 students who arrive at a band class"

Here is obviously a bias, because you could think that these students may be more "dedicated" students than the ones that will arrive later to the class, and we also have the fact that all the students in our sample are in the same class, so there is another bias.

Then we can conclude that this is a biased sample.

Can someone answer this its just boxplots :)))
Vitek1552 [10]
<h3>Answer:   50%</h3>

Explanation:

The boxplot, aka box-and-whisker plot, is a visual way to represent summary data. Each piece of the boxplot visually tells us one of the five items of a five number summary, which are:

  • Min = smallest value
  • Q1 = first quartile
  • Median = middle most value
  • Q3 = third quartile
  • Max = largest value

The median is the vertical line inside the box of the boxplot. The diagram shows that the median is 25. Exactly half of the distribution is below the median, and the other half is above the median. So that means that 50% of the cars get at least 25 mpg.

Susan has $65 in her savings account. Her friend coco has &amp;119 in her savings account. Susan plans to add $23 per week. How
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

After 10 weeks, Susan will have $295 and CiCi will have $259.

Step-by-step explanation:

Susan: y= 65+23x

CiCi: y = 119+14x

65+23(6)=203

119+14(6)=203

After 6 weeks, Susan and CiCi will both have $203 in their accounts.

65+23(10)=295

119+(14)(10)=259

Therefore, After 10 weeks, Susan will have $295 and CiCi will have $259.

Find the average value of f(x, y = over the region, r, the triangle with vertices (0, 0, (0, 1 and (1, 1.
makkiz [27]
Can't be done without knowing what f is...

But I can tell you that the average value of f is given by

\dfrac{\displaystyle\iint_Rf(x,y)\,\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy}{\displaystyle\iint_R\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy}

At the very least, we can compute the denominator, which is just the area of R. You have

\displaystyle\iint_R\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy=\int_{x=0}^{x=1}\int_{y=x}^{y=1}\mathrm dy\,\mathrm dx=\int_0^1(1-x)\,\mathrm dx=\dfrac12

so the average value will be

2\displaystyle\iint_Rf(x,y)\,\mathrm dx\,\mathrm dy

Answer:

The answer is $22.75! (A)

Step-by-step explanation:

All you have to do is subtract $36.50 by $13.75 and get the amount of the 2nd piggy bank.

22.75 + 13.75 = 36.50
