A square isothermal chip is of width w = 5 mm on a side and is mounted in a substrate such that its side and back surfaces are w
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

Q(h=200)=0.35W

Q(h=3000)=5.25W

Explanation:

first part h=200W/Km^2

we must use the convection heat transfer equation for the chip

Q=hA(Ts-T∞)

h= convective coefficient=200W/m2 K

A=Base*Leght=5mmx5mm=25mm^2

Ts=temperature of the chip=85C

T∞=temperature of coolant=15C

Q=200x2.5x10^-5(85-15)=0.35W

Second part h=3000W/Km^2

Q=3000x2.5x10^-5(85-15)=5.25W

The statements regarding the refrigeration system as expressed by the technicians are correct. Hence, the correct statement is Option c.

<h3>What is a refrigeration system?</h3>

Refrigeration systems are a crucial process in the industry and home applications as they carry out cooling or keep the room temperature at a preferred value.

The missing information in the question is:

A.technician A only

B.technician B only

C.both A and B

D.neither A or B

suppose we number the bytes in a w-bit word from 0 (less significant) to w/8-1 (most significant). write code for the followign
sammy [17]

Solution:

typedef  unsigned  char  *byte_pointer;

static int  int_of_bit  (byte_pointer x,  int  loc)

{

                  return(x[loc] << loc*8);

}

static int  replace_byte(unsigned int a,  int loc,  unsigned int  b)

    unsigned int a_loc = int_of_bit((byte_pointer) &a ,  loc);

    unsigned int b_loc = (b  <<  loc*8);

     a  -=  a_loc;

      a  += b_loc;

      return a;

}

Explanation:

This takes two ints in hex format, one with 8 bits (0x00000000) and one with 2 bits (0x00) then places the 2 bit hex into the 8 bit at a given location.

EX:  replace_byte(0x00000000, 1, 0xFF) return 0x0000FF00

First thing first, it looks like you have some mixup:

" one with 8 bits (0x00000000) and one with 2 bits (0x00)*- what you mean is nibble not bits. Each hex character (0-9, A-F) represent 4 bits (16 possible combination), and is called a "nibble".

0x0000000 is 4 bytes. 0x00 is 2 bytes.

Next, you say "takes two ints in hex format" - your function takes two ints in any format. You're just choosing tp express them in hexidecimal. C++ doesn't care if you specify numbers in hex, decimal, octal, binary, etc.

How to write a 5bit register if a series is moved to the shift register from left to right
mr_godi [17]

The Bidirectional Shift Register is the shift register that allows one to write a 5bit register if the series is shifted from left to right.

<h3>What is a value of a 5-bit register?</h3>

A 5-bit register is valuable because it can represent up to 32 items. It is to be noted that a bit is a digit that is binary that is indicative of two states.

While a 5-bit register can have a possible number of 32 values,

  • 6 can hold 64;
  • 7 can hold 128;
  • 8 can hold 256 etc.
