Answer:

168 g

Reaction:

Fe_{2}O_{3} + 3 CO >>> 2 Fe + 3CO_{2}

Explanation:

First we need to figure out what is the formula mass (Mr) of Fe2O3 (Iron(III) oxide).

The atomic mass of Fe=56, O=16

Mr= 56+56+16+16+16=160 g/mol

We can now figure out the moles of the iron:

240/160 = 1.5 mol

Then we need to find the ratio to make Fe.

In the reaction, we know that 1 mole of Fe2O3 can make 2 moles of Fe. So 1.5 moles of Fe2O3 can make 3 moles of Fe.

And then we need to find the mass of the Fe.

3×56=168 g.

Hence 168g of the iron is made after the reaction.

Real life example of when temperature increases, then the pressure increases.
timurjin [86]

Answer:

Tyre

In cold weather, you might have regularly kept a check on the pressure of the tyres of your car. Driving increases the temperature of the tyres, and, therefore, the air inside the tyre warms and expands. When you measure the pressure of the tyres at the time when you have just driven the car, it will be high. However, in cold weather, the pressure of the tyres will be low. So, it is recommended that you should always measure the pressure of the tyres.

calculate the concentration of silver in a 100.0 mL solution of silver bromide at 25oC (298 K) when the Ksp is 5.0 x 10-13
Sliva [168]

Answer:

Concentration AgBr at saturation = 7.07 x 10⁻⁷M

Explanation:

Given AgBr(s) => Ag⁺(aq) + Br⁻(aq) ; Ksp = 5 x 10⁻¹³ = [Ag⁺][Br⁻]

    I       ---                0              0

    C     ---               +x             +x

     E     ---                 x               x

[Ag⁺][Br⁻] = (x)(x) = x² = 5 x 10⁻¹³ => x = SqrRt(5 x 10⁻¹³) = 7.07 x 10⁻⁷M

The volume occupied by a gas at STP is 250 L. At what pressure (in atm) will the gas occupy 1500 L, if the temperature is consta
Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

6 atm

Explanation:

Using the formula P1V1=P2V2

P1= Initial Pressure

V1= Initial Volume

P2= Final Pressure

V2= Final Volume

And knowing that at stp gas will always be at 1 atm

250L(P2) = 1500

P2= 6 atm
