The total feet that were thrown is 120.49 if you just add all of the feet together that's how you will get your answer.

Let s(t) = 36 − t. find the equation of the tangent line to s(t) when t = 0.
tatiyna
When t = 0 the point on the graph is (0,36). Your equation is just a line and always has the same tangent line so your equation is the same s = 36 - t.

How do you determine whether a system of linear equations has no solutions, one solution, or infinitely many solutions?
Charra [1.4K]
The answer to this is

If the lines are the same, the equations are dependent linear equations. Using the graph of y = x and x + 2y = 6, shown below, determine how many solutions the system has. Then classify the system as consistent or inconsistent and the equations as dependent or independent. The lines intersect at one point.

Suppose the leftmost digits of two numbers are 8 and 3. Can you tell which numbers is greater. Explain
Svetach [21]
No:
At first, it might appear that the number with a leftmost digit of 8 should be bigger than one with a left most digit of 3 because so long as the 3 and 8 have the same digit position, this will be the case;
The same applies if the 3 is at a lower digit position than the 8;
But, there is nothing in the statement to suggest that the 8 has the higher digit position, i.e. the numbers could be 3000 and 800;
In this case, the largest number has the leftmost digit of 3;
Therefore, you cannot tell which number will be bigger without any other information.

2. Calculate the amount of gallons needed to fill the pool shown below. (3 points)
hammer [34]

Answer:

52,322 gal

Step-by-step explanation:

will make it simple and short.

vol =  ( a + b ) * h/2 times the depth

vol = (10 + 4) x (40/2) x 30 = 8400 cu. ft.  ---------->>> then convert to gal.

                             6.2288 gal

vol = 8400cu.ft. x ----------------- =  52,322 gal

                                1 cu.ft.
