Consider the given structure of the product of a Diels-Alder reaction. Ring made up of six carbons with a double bond between ca

rbons 1 and 2 and a chlorine on both carbons 4 and 5. The two chlorines are on the same side of the ring. What reactants are necessary to make the product

Answer:

See explanation below

Explanation:

First of all, a Diels Alder reaction is very useful to synthetize rings of 6 carbons. In order to do this, we need two reactants. A dienophile and a conjugate diene.

The conjugate diene, is usually a 4 or 5 carbons, with two double bonds, both conjugate and the dienophile, usually have one double bond and an withdrawing atractor group on 1 carbon.

We already have the product here, which is a ring of 6 carbons, with a double bond and chlorine in two carbons. The only way to do this is putting a conjugate diene of 4 carbons, and a dienophile with 3 carbons and 2 chlorines.

The mechanism of reaction is in the attached picture.

Hope this helps

Unless the question is saying he only gets heads once, in which case it would be 0%. Or the coin could have 2 heads. Then it would be 100%.
But I'm pretty sure it's 50%.

A laboratory procedure calls for making 590.0 mL of a 1.1 M KNO3 solution. How much KNO3 in grams is needed?
AveGali [126]
590 mL = 590 cm³= 0,59 dm³

C = n/V
n = 1,1M × 0,59 dm³
n = 0,649 mol
_____________________________

M KNO₃ = 39g+14g+16g×3 = 101 g/mol

1 mole -------- 101g
0,649 --------- X
X = 101×0,649
X = 65,549g KNO₃
