Answer:

$263!! :D

Step-by-step explanation:

Take $315 and subtract $65   $315 - $65 = $250

Then subtract $13     $250 - $13 = $237

Then add $26!  $237 + $26 = $263!

vredina [299]

Answer:

The events rain and Shameel missing his flight are not independent events.

Step-by-step explanation:

Independent events are those events that are not affected by the occurrence (or no occurrence) of other events. These events do not affect the probability of another even taking place.

For example, the events of winning a lottery and being late for work are independent.

If events <em>A</em> and <em>B</em> are independent then:

P(A\cap B)=P(A)\times P(B)

And the conditional probability of <em>B</em> given <em>A</em> is:

P(B|A)=P(B)

Denote the events as follows:

<em>X</em> = Shameel misses his flight

<em>Y</em> = it rains on Monday morning.

The information provided are:

P(X|Y)=0.04\\P(X|Y^{c})=0.03\\P(Y)=0.26

The law of total probability states that:

P(B)=P(B|A)P(A)+P(B|A^{c})P(A^{c})

Use this law to compute the probability of <em>X</em> as follows:

P(X)=P(X|Y)P(Y)+P(X|Y^{c})P(Y^{c})\\=(0.04\times 0.26)+(0.03\times (1-0.26))\\=0.0104+0.0222\\=0.0326\\\approx0.033

If the events <em>X</em> and <em>Y</em> are independent then,

P(X|Y)=P(X)

But the value of P (X) is 0.033.

That is, P(X|Y)\neq P(X).

Thus, the events rain and Shameel missing his flight are not independent events.

Which is a solution to (x – 3)(x + 9) = –27?
hichkok12 [17]
Hello there!

(x - 3)(x + 9) = -27
x² + 6x - 27 = -27
x² + 6x = -27 + 27
x² + 6x = 0
Factorize
x(x + 6) = 0
Now all we have to do is set the factors equal to 0
x = 0 or x+6 = 0
x = 0 or x = -6
Answer : x = 0 or x = -6

I don't know what the options they give you. But if you see 0 or 6 choose it.

I hope this help!

A stack of 2/5 inch wide sheetrock has a height of 20 2/5 inch. How many sheets are in the stack? Please explain how to solve thi
galben [10]
Well, when it comes to math, I gotta admit, I'm not the smartest cookie in the cookie jar, but if you take 20 2/5 and divide it by 2/5, you should be left with the number of sheets of sheetrock there are in the stack. To divide it, you my have to convert the fraction to a decimal, just FYI. Considering this is marked as a college-level question, I assume you already know how to do this. Hope this helps ya, pal.

<u>Geometry</u>

Volume of a Prism Formula: V = lwh

  • <em>l</em> is length
  • <em>w</em> is width
  • <em>h</em> is height

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Step 1: Define</u>

<em>Identify variables</em>

<em>l</em> = 13.8 cm

<em>w</em> = 4.5 cm

<em>h</em> = 5 cm

<u>Step 2: Solve for </u><em><u>V</u></em>

  1. Substitute in variables [Volume of a Prism Formula]:                                    V = (13.8 cm)(4.5 cm)(5 cm)
  2. Multiply:                                                                                                             V = (62.1 cm²)(5 cm)
  3. Multiply:                                                                                                             V = 310.5 cm³
