e in writing grants. The president randomly selected 30 members and surveyed the selected members on their grant-writing experience. Of the 30 selected members, 12 indicated that they did have the experience. Have the conditions for inference with a one-sample z -interval been met

Answer:

Yes the sample can be use to make inference

Step-by-step explanation:

The inference is possible if the conditions:

p*n > 10      and   q*n > 10

where p and q are the proportion probability of success and q = 1 - p

n is sample size

Then   p = 12 / 30  = 0,4         q =  1 - 0,4    q  =  0,6

And  p*n  =  0,4 * 30  = 12            12 > 10

And  q*n  = 0,6 * 30   = 18            18 > 10

Therefore with that sample the conditions to approximate the binomial distribution to a Normal distribution are met

Explain how showing fractions with models in a number line are alike and different.
zhenek [66]
Showing fractions with models is giving a visual and sometimes can be easier to process. They also can be in picture form or other.Ex. A piece of pizza cut into fourths.

Showing fractions on a number line is also giving a visual but still allows you to add and subtract using numbers if that makes sense.Ex.

m_a_m_a [10]

Answer: 282.85\ cm^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Radius of cylinder r=5\ cm

The height of the cylinder is h=9\ cm

The surface area of a cylinder is 2\pi rh

If only the outer is considered then, the area required is

\Rightarrow A=2\times \dfrac{22}{7}\times 5\times 9\\\\\Rightarrow A=282.85\ cm^2
