Answer:

a = 0.273 m/s²

Explanation:

I would assume that the rider starts at 0m/s.

a = average acceleration

v = final velocity = 3 m/s

v0 = initial velocity = 0 m/s

t = time = 11 s

a = (v-v0)/t

a = (3m/s - 0m/s) / 11s

a = 0.273 m/s²

I am not sure how many decimals I should round it to, so I just gave three. If your teacher has instructions on that, do so accordingly.

The triceps muscle in the back of the upper arm is primarily used to extend the forearm. Suppose this muscle in a professional b
taurus [48]

Answer:

I = 0.483 kgm^2

Explanation:

To know what is the moment of inertia I of the boxer's forearm you use the following formula:

\tau=I\alpha  (1)

τ: torque exerted by the forearm

I: moment of inertia

α: angular acceleration = 125 rad/s^2

You calculate the torque by using the information about the force (1.95*10^3 N) and the lever arm (3.1 cm = 0.031m)

\tau=Fr=(1.95*10^3N)(0.031m)=60.45J

Next, you replace this value of τ in the equation (1) and solve for I:

I=\frac{\tau}{\alpha}=\frac{60.45Kgm^2/s ^2}{125rad/s^2}=0.483 kgm^2

hence, the moment of inertia of the forearm is 0.483 kgm^2

How are a symbol and a model both examples of a representation?
viva [34]

Answer:

A symbol and a model are both examples of a representation because they are presented in place of the real thing.

Explanation:

A symbol is a sign, a letter, mark, token, figure, or image used to stand in place of an object, function, or process.  For example, co2 is used in Chemistry to represent carbon dioxide.  There are many symbols representing other objects or meanings.  Mathematically, we can state that "a" equals 40.  "a" is a symbol representing the numerical value "40." Similarly, a model is a representation of a structure or a person on a smaller scale.  For example, Architects produce models of buildings and other projects that they design.
