Answer:

independent: type of paper

dependent: distance

Explanation:

the independent variable determines what will happen to the dependent varieble, just as the type of paper determines how far the plane will fly

In an X-ray photoelectron experiment, a photon of wavelength 121 pm ejects an electron from the inner shell of an atom and it em
pentagon [3]

Answer:

binding energy will be 0.1633\times 10^{-15}J

Explanation:

We have given wavelength of photon \lambda =121pm=121\times 10^{-12}m

Velocity of light c=3\times 10^8m/sec

Plank's constant h=6.6\times 10^{-34}Js

So energy of photon E=\frac{hc}{\lambda }=\frac{6.6\times 10^{-34}\times 3\times 10^8}{121\times 10^{-12}}=1.636\times 10^{-15}J

Mass of electron m=9.1\times 10^{-31}kg

Velocity of electron is given v=56.9\times 10^6m/sec

So kinetic energy of electron KE=\frac{1}{2}mv^2=\frac{1}{2}\times 9.1\times 10^{-31}\times (56.9\times 10^6)^2=1.473\times 10^{-15}J

So binding energy = plank's energy - kinetic energy

=1.636\times 10^{-15}-1.473\times 10^{-15}=0.1633\times 10^{-15}J

So binding energy will be 0.1633\times 10^{-15}J

HELP :). Explain how soaps lower the surface tension of the fats and oils ?
lubasha [3.4K]
Soap is a surfactant that contains hydrophobic or water-fearing and hydrophilic or water-loving ends that  is used for cleaning dirt. These hydrophobic and hydrophilic properties are what causes the surface tension of the fats and oils to lower.

A laser emits light of frequency 4.74 x 1014 hz. what is the wavelength of the light in nm?
Ulleksa [173]
<span>Use this formula:Wavelength=c/v, where c is the speed of light, and v the frequency. 6.33 X 10^-7=3 X 10^8/v v=3 X 10^8/6.33 X 10^-7 v=4.74 X 10^14 Hertz,</span>

An angler experiences a glare of light coming from the water's surface. Which type of glasses should she wear to minimize the gl
Vaselesa [24]
The glasses that she should wear are the glasses that block horizontally polarized light coming from glares, like polaroid sunglasses, because these type of glasses block out the light being reflected from the water's surface by the vertically oriented polarizers in the lenses.
