1) Equivalent resistance, 1/R = 1/15 + 1/40 + 1/60 = 8+3+2 /120 = 13/120

R = 120/13 = 9.23

2) Current, I = V/R = 115/9.23 = 12.45 A

A physical pendulum in the form of a planar object moves in simple harmonic motion with a frequency of 0.680 Hz. The pendulum ha
sineoko [7]

Answer:

Therefore, the moment of inertia is:

I=0.37 \: kgm^{2}

Explanation:

The period of an oscillation equation of a solid pendulum is given by:

T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{I}{Mgd}} (1)

Where:

  • I is the moment of inertia
  • M is the mass of the pendulum
  • d is the distance from the center of mass to the pivot
  • g is the gravity

Let's solve the equation (1) for I

T=2\pi \sqrt{\frac{I}{Mgd}}

I=Mgd(\frac{T}{2\pi})^{2}

Before find I, we need to remember that

T = \frac{1}{f}=\frac{1}{0.680}=1.47\: s

Now, the moment of inertia will be:

I=2*9.81*0.340(\frac{1.47}{2\pi})^{2}

Therefore, the moment of inertia is:

I=0.37 \: kgm^{2}

I hope it helps you!

A helium balloon has an internal pressure of 2.5 atm when it occupies 4.5 L. If it was compressed until it had a pressure of 3.3
steposvetlana [31]

Answer: V = 3.4 L

Explanation: Use Boyle's Law to find the new volume. P1V1 = P2V2, derive for V2, then the formula will be V2= P1V1 / P2

V2 = 2.5 atm ( 4.5 L ) / 3.3 atm

= 3.4 L

Keeping the mass at 1.0 kg and the velocity at 10.0 m/s, record the magnitude of centripetal acceleration for each given radius
Paha777 [63]

Answer:

The centripetal acceleration for the first radius; 2.0 m = 50 m/s²

The centripetal acceleration for the second radius; 4.0 m = 25 m/s²

The centripetal acceleration for the third radius; 6.0 m = 16.67 m/s²

The centripetal acceleration for the fourth radius; 8.0 m = 12.5 m/s²

The centripetal acceleration for the fifth radius; 10.0 m = 10 m/s²

Explanation:

Given;

mass of the object, m = 1 kg

velocity of the object, v = 10 m/s

different values of the radius, 2.0 m 4.0 m 6.0 m 8.0 m 10.0 m

The centripetal acceleration for the first radius; 2.0 m

a_c = \frac{v^2}{r} \\\\a_c_1= \frac{(10)^2}{2} \\\\a_c_1= 50 \ m/s^2

The centripetal acceleration for the second radius; 4.0 m

a_c_2= \frac{(10)^2}{4} \\\\a_c_2= 25 \ m/s^2

The centripetal acceleration for the third radius; 6.0 m

a_c_3= \frac{(10)^2}{6} \\\\a_c_3= 16.67 \ m/s^2

The centripetal acceleration for the fourth radius; 8.0 m

a_c_4= \frac{(10)^2}{8} \\\\a_c_4= 12.5 \ m/s^2

The centripetal acceleration for the fifth radius; 10.0 m

a_c_5= \frac{(10)^2}{10} \\\\a_c_5= 10 \ m/s^2

An object is dropped from a height of 25 meters. At what velocity will it hit the ground?
Goryan [66]
You can use Vf^2-Vi^2 = 2ax

Vf^2 - 0 = 2(9.81)(25)

Or you can use energy

mgh = 1/2mv^2

2gh =v^2

Same thing
