Given

mass (m) = 1 kg

velocity (v) = 10 m/s

kinetic energy ( ke) = ?

,we know

K.E =1/2 m v²

= 1/2 * 1 * 10²

= 100/2

=50 joule

hope it helps :)

A robot is exploring charon, the dwarf planet pluto's largest moon. Gravity on charon is 0.278 meters per second [m divided b
DochEvi [55]

In order to find the efficiency first we will find the Change in Potential energy of the small stone that robot picked up

First we will find the mass of the stone

As it is given that stone is spherical in shape so first we will find its volume

V = \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3

V = \frac{4}{3}\pi *(\frac{0.06}{2})^3

V = 1.13 * 10^{-4} m^3

Now it is given that it's specific gravity is 10.8

So density of rock is

\rho = 10.8 * 10^3 kg/m^3

mass of the stone will be

m = \rho V

m = 10.8* 10^3 * 1.13 * 10^{-4}

m = 1.22 kg

now change in potential energy is given as

\Delta U = mgH

here

g = gravity on planet = 0.278 m/s^2

H = height lifted upwards = 15 cm

\Delta U = 1.22* 0.278 * 0.15

\Delta U = 0.051 J

Now energy supplied by internal circuit of robot is given by

E = Vit

V = voltage supplied = 10 V

i = current = 1.83 mA

t = time = 12 s

E = 10* 1.83 * 10^{-3} * 12

E = 0.22 J

Now efficiency is defined as the ratio of output work with given amount of energy used

\eta = \frac{\Delta U}{E}*100

\eta = \frac{0.051}{0.22} = 0.23

so efficiency will be 23 %

Fifteen grams of substance X at 95 degrees Celsius is mixed with 45 grams of substance Z at 85 degrees Celsius in a container wh
Viefleur [7K]
According to the Law of Conservation of Energy, energy is neither created nor destroyed. They are just transferred from one system to another. To obey this law, the energy of the substances inside the container must be equal to the substance added to it. The energy is in the form of heat. There can be two types of heat energy: latent heat and sensible heat. Sensible heat is energy added or removed when a substance changes in temperature. Latent heat is the energy added or removed at a constant temperature during a phase change. Since there is no mention of phase change, we assume the heat involved here is sensible heat. The equation for sensible heat is:

H = mCpΔT
where
m is the mass of the substance
Cp is the specific heat of a certain type of material or substance
ΔT is the change in temperature.

So the law of conservation of heat tells that:

Sensible heat of Z + Sensible heat of container = Sensible heat of X

Since we have no idea what these substances are, there is no way of knowing the Cp. We can't proceed with the calculations. So, we can only assume that in the duration of 15 minutes, the whole system achieves equilibrium. Therefore, the equilibrium temperature of the system is equal to 32°C. The answer is C.

The earth has a vertical electric field at the surface,pointing down, that averages 102 N/C. This field is maintained by various
Schach [20]

Answer:

q  =  -461532.5 \ C

Explanation:

From the question we are told that

     The  electric filed is  E  =  102 \ N/C

Generally according to Gauss law

=>   E  A  =  \frac{q}{\epsilon_o }

Given that  the electric field is pointing downward  , the equation become

    - E  A  =  \frac{q}{\epsilon_o }

Here   q is the excess charge on the surface of the earth

          A is the surface  area of the of the earth which is mathematically represented as

     A  =  4\pi r^2

Where r is the radius of the earth which has a value r = 6.3781*10^6 m

 substituting values

    A  = 4 * 3.142  *   (6.3781*10^6 \ m)^2

    A  =5.1128 *10^{14} \ m^2

So

   q  =  -E  * A  *  \epsilon _o

Here \epsilon_o s the permitivity of free space with value

          \epsilon_o  =  8.85*10^{-12} \  m^{-3} \cdot kg^{-1}\cdot  s^4 \cdot A^2

substituting values

     q  =  -102  * 5.1128 *10^{14}  *  8.85 *10^{-12}

     q  =  -461532.5 \ C
