Family and friends play a great role in Luis's decision to join a gang because his family did not focus on his actions and activities. If his family and friends focus on his character and his education he will not join the gang. If he get respect from his family and society he will be a different man but discrimination and no respect from the society force him to join the gang.
A few things can include taking a hot shower before bed, make sure you've completed everything you needed to do for the day, and go to bed on the right time, a bad habit would probably be staying up late to watch a movie or something
