By the formula Q = mc\Delta T

m is the mass

Putting the value in the equation

Q = 100 \times 4.184 \times (90.0 - 22.0)\\\\Q = 4.184 \times 68.0\\ \\Q= 284.5 \;J

Thus, the energy needed to raise the temperature of water from 22.0ºC to 90.0ºC is 28.4 kJ
