Answer:

v2=0.79 m/s

Explanation:

equation of continuity: V1A1=V2A2

A=(pi)r^2

A1=(pi)(0.55cm)^2

A2=(pi)(1.17cm)^2

convert cm2->m2

A1= 0.95cm2=

A2= 4.3cm2=

(3.57 m/s)(0.000095 m^2)=(x m/s)(0.00043 m^2)

v2=0.79 m/s

hope this helped

How does battery generate electric current in a circuit?
sveticcg [70]

Answer:

C. It creates negative electric charges and pushes them into the circuit

Explanation:

A battery has three main parts. The Cathode (Positive), the Electrolytes (energy source), and the Anode (negative). The anode takes energy from the electrolytes and creates more electrons. And because subatomic particles with the same charge don't like being in the same place, they move through the circuit to reach the cathode because opposites attract.

I hope this helps!

In this circuit the battery provides 3 V, the resistance R1 is 7 Ω, and R2 is 5 Ω. What is the current through resistor R2? Give
sveta [45]

Answer:

The current pass the R_2 is  I  = 0.25 A

Explanation:

The diagram for this question is shown on the first uploaded image

From the question we are told that

    The voltage  is  V =  3V

     The first resistance is  R_1 = 7 \Omega

     The second resistance is  R_2 = 5 \Omega

Since the resistors are connected in series their equivalent resistance is

       R_{eq} =  R_1 +R_2

Substituting values

         R_{eq} = 7 + 5

         R_{eq} = 12 \Omega

Since the resistance are connected in serie the current passing through the circuit  is the same current passing through R_2 which is mathematically evaluated as

        I  =  \frac{V}{R_{eq}}

Substituting values

      I  =  \frac{3}{12}

      I  = 0.25 A

A 222 kg bumper car moving right at 3.10 m/s collides with a 165 kg bumper car moving 1.88 m/s left Find the total momentum of t
Svetlanka [38]

Answer:

Total momentum of the system is 378 kg-m/s

Explanation:

It is given that,

Mass of first bumper car, m₁ = 222 kg

Velocity of first bumper car, v₁ = 3.10 m/s (in right)

Mass of other bumper car, m₂ = 165 kg

Velocity of second bumper car, v₂ = -1.88 m/s (in left)

Momentum of the system is given by the product of its mass and velocity. So, the total momentum of this system is given by :

p=m_1v_1+m_2v_2

p=222\ kg\times 3.10\ m/s+165\ kg\times (-1.88\ m/s)

p = 378 kg-m/s

Hence, the total momentum of the system is 378 kg-m/s
