If an object is on top of a hill or in a position raised above the ground, it must have __________.

Chemistry
1 answer:
den301095 [7]3 years ago
6 0

Answer:

The force applied to the object is an external force, from outside the system. When it does positive work it increases the gravitational potential energy of the system. Because gravitational potential energy depends on relative position, we need a reference level at which to set the potential energy equal to 0.

Define motion of particles in matter
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The states that all of the particles that make up matter are constantly in motion. As a result, all particles in matter have kinetic energy. The kinetic theory of matter helps explain the different states of matter—solid, liquid, and gas. ... Particles do not always move at the same speed.

Will the calculated Molarity of NaOH be too high or too low or unaffected if the following happen: when you answer the question,
vodomira [7]

Answer:

Explanation:

The result will be affected.

The mass of KHP weighed out was used to calculate the moles of KHP weighed out (moles = mass/molar mass).

Not all the sample is actually KHP if the KHP is a little moist, so when mass was used to determine the moles of KHP, a higher number of moles than what is actually present would be obtained (because some of that mass was not KHP but it was assumed to be so. Therefore, there is actually a less present number of moles than the certain number that was thought of.

During the titration, NaOH reacts in a 1:1 ratio with KHP. So it was determined that there was the same number of moles of NaOH was the volume used as there were KHP in the mass that was weighed out. Since there was an overestimation in the moles of KHP, then there also would be an overestimation in the number of moles of NaOH.

Thus, NaOH will appear at a higher concentration than it actually is.

Ca(s)+2hno3(aq)→ca(no3)2(aq)+h2(g) identify the oxidizing agent.
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

To find for the oxidizing agent, first let us write the half reactions of this complete chemical reaction:

Ca = Ca2+ + 2e-
2 H+ + 2e- = H2

The oxidizing agent would be the substance of the element that is reduced. We know that an element is reduced when an electron is added to it. In this case, the element being reduced is H. Therefore the oxidizing agent is HNO3.

Answer:

HNO3
