The electron configuration of Ca⁺² is most similar to that of Ar(Argon)

<h3>Further explanation  </h3>

In an atom, there are levels of energy in the shell and sub-shell

This energy level is expressed in the form of electron configurations.

Writing electron configurations starts from the lowest to the highest sub-shell energy level. There are 4 sub-shells in the shell of an atom, namely s, p, d, and f. The maximum number of electrons for each sub-shell is

  • s: 2 electrons
  • p: 6 electrons
  • d: 10 electrons and
  • f: 14 electrons

Charging electrons in the sub-shell uses the following sequence:

<em>1s², 2s², 2p⁶, 3s², 3p⁶, 4s², 3d¹⁰, 4p⁶, 5s², 4d¹⁰, 5p⁶, 6s², etc</em>.

Calcium (symbol Ca) is an alkaline earth metal element with an atomic number of 20, so the number of electrons is 20 (for neutral atoms)

The electron configuration of Ca :  [Ar] 4s² ⇒ 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s²3p⁶4s²

For the Ca²⁺ cation, which has a +2 charge, it is obtained by removing 2 electrons, so that the electron configuration is the same as for the element Ar (argon): 1s² 2s² 2p⁶ 3s²3p⁶

The reaction below demonstrates which characteristic of a base? Upper C U upper S upper O subscript 4 (a q) plus 2 upper N a upp
Gnesinka [82]

"The ability of a base to react with a soluble metal salt" demonstrates characteristic of a base.

<u>Answer:</u> Option D

<u>Explanation:</u>

As the sodium hydroxide react with only with some metals. It is a very strong basic compound with a intense solubility in water and hygroscopic in nature. The ability of base is reflected from its potential to react with metals. In the given reaction:

\mathrm{CuSO}_{4}(a q)+2 \mathrm{NaOH}(a q) \rightarrow \mathrm{Cu}(\mathrm{OH})_{2}(s)+\mathrm{Na}_{2} \mathrm{SO}_{4}(a q)

\mathrm{Cu} \mathrm{SO}_{4} is an acidic property showing salt which is added with sodium hydroxide and this reaction result into a pale blue precipitate of basic copper hydroxide & sodium sulphate which is neutral salt. The reaction is a double displacement and precipitation reaction.

What is the volume of the toy car that has a density of 3 g/mL and a mass of 75 g.
muminat

Answer:

The volume of car having density 3 g/mL and mass 75 g is 25 mL.

Explanation:

Given data:

Volume of car = ?

Density of car = 3 g/mL

Mass of car = 75 g

Solution:

The given problem will be solved through density formula.

Density:

Density is equal to the mass of substance divided by its volume.

Formula:

D=m/v

D= density

m=mass

V=volume

Now we will put the values in formula.

3 g/mL = 75 g/ v

v = 75 g/ 3 g/mL

v = 25 mL

The volume of car having density 3 g/mL and mass 75 g is 25 mL.
